Stop renting Cua Lo beach to people for business purposes

That was the conclusion made by Mr. Le Sy Chien - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee, Nghe An - at a dialogue with Cua Lo beach service businesses on the afternoon of April 4.

Many households participating in the dialogue expressed concern when the Vinh City People’s Committee requested to stop all business activities of coastal services. Many families have invested large sums of money to build bathing spots, parking lots, check-in areas, etc. and are facing the risk of being demolished.

According to the households, some wards had previously texted them asking them to send photos of their ID cards to complete the application to continue investing and renovating their stores for business in 2025. Therefore, the people continued to invest.

Recently, business households received information that Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company would like to participate in socializing the coastal renovation, serving Cua Lo beach tourism.

Including content for exploiting some services of swimwear, food, fast food.

Therefore, these households expressed their wish to be approved by Vinh city to operate until September 2025 to recover capital, then they will comply with the city's request to remove the business.

Responding to the opinions of business households, Mr. Chien said that in response to the request of Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company, the city only agreed to allow this company to sponsor socialized items, but was not allowed to organize business activities.

The fact that people want to do business for another year is not consistent with the State's public investment. The city is right to terminate the business activities of households, in the spirit of enforcing the provisions of the law.

The opinion of the leaders of the People's Committees of the wards said that up to now, the wards have not had any official documents to continue signing business contracts in 2025 with the households. Therefore, the households have no basis to blame the investment in renovation on the fault of the People's Committees of the wards.

" The city has submitted to the Provincial People's Committee plans for organizing services for tourists and assigned the City Urban Management Board to manage and operate those activities, " said Mr. Chien, and requested the wards to check and strictly handle information about other households renovating and investing to prepare for business at Cua Lo beach (if any).

To contribute to promoting the image of Cua Lo tourism in particular and Nghe An in general as a safe, friendly and hospitable destination, in 2025 Vinh city plans to install a shower system along Binh Minh beach, making it convenient for tourists after swimming; build free parking lots.

In 2022, Cua Lo town (old) cleared more than 200 kiosks on the east side of Binh Minh street along Cua Lo beach, to call for investors to attract tourists.

During the 2023 and 2024 tourist seasons, while investors have not been found, the People's Committees of the wards will let households rent or borrow the beach for seasonal entertainment and food and beverage services.

According to statistics from Vinh City People's Committee, as of early 2025, after reviewing the area east of Binh Minh Street, there are 19 bathing spots, 17 outdoor check-in spots and 18 parking lots managed by people and with fees paid to the ward budget.
