According to his family, Nhat Dinh registered for the 10th grade entrance exam at the Gifted High School, Ho Chi Minh City National University; Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Ho Chi Minh City) and Phan Ngoc Hien High School for the Gifted (Ca Mau). The proud thing is that Nhat Dinh was at the top of the admission list for all 3 schools (all of which registered for math majors).

According to the results of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Nhat Dinh scored 44.5 points (specialized subject multiplied by coefficient 2). Specifically, non-specialized math 10 points, literature 8.5; English 9 and specialized math 8.5. With this score, Nhat Dinh is ranked in the list of 10 students with the highest entrance score for specialized math class at the school and is one of 49 candidates with a score of 10 in math in the 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the Gifted High School, Nhat Dinh achieved a total score of 39.15 points. Of which, non-math majors got 10 points, specialized math got 8.75 points; ranked 4th in the top 10 candidates with the highest scores in the school's specialized math class.

At Phan Ngoc Hien High School for the Gifted, Hoang Nhat Dinh continued to attract attention when he achieved the highest score in both his wishes, specializing in math and specializing in IT, both with 45.90 points. Nhat Dinh was also the candidate with the highest total score in the exam and the only candidate to achieve 10 points in both specialized and non-specialized math.
