Update SJC gold price, gold ring, jewelry gold and world gold today September 5. |
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,495.61 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 5.17 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 73.895 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 5.105 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
The world gold market stabilized in the middle of the week and traded around the lowest level in nearly 2 weeks as investors continued to wait for the next important data to clarify the future policy direction of the US Federal Reserve (Fed), especially the Fed's decision at this month's meeting.
Gold remains under pressure as expectations for a 50 basis point rate cut fade and the likelihood of a lower cut of 25 basis points from the Fed is high, according to Peter A. Grant, vice president and senior metals strategist at Zaner Metals.
Traders believe the Fed will cut rates this month and are pricing in a 59% chance of a 25 basis point rate cut, according to the CME FedWatch tool.
Gold has been on a tear this year, rising more than 20%. On August 20, the precious metal hit an all-time high of $2,531.60 an ounce.
Market analyst Mike Ingram of Kinesis Money has raised his forecast for the yellow metal's resistance levels above $2,510/ounce and he expects the price to soon break the $2,543/ounce mark.
Speaking about the future of gold, analysts at Goldman Sachs predict that gold is likely to rise in the near future due to its popularity as a hedge against risk. The bank believes that the upcoming interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve will attract Western capital back to the gold market, which has been largely absent during the strong gold price rally of the past two years.
They still maintain their bullish price target of $2,700/ounce by early 2025.
