According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5am today, Vietnam time, was at 2,558.65 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 47.01 USD compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 74.947 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 3.553 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices rose more than 1% to a record high on Tuesday, boosted by expectations the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates next week after U.S. data signaled a slowing economy.

“ The labor market continues to weaken and if the labor market deteriorates, their rate-cutting journey will have to be extended for a long time, ” said Phillip Streible , chief market strategist at Blue Line Futures.

Elsewhere, palladium rose 4.1% to $1,050 an ounce, hitting its highest level in more than two months.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Moscow should consider restricting exports of uranium, titanium and nickel in retaliation for the West.

“ Palladium is a market that is rallying to cover the short squeeze. Putin did not mention palladium. But since the metal is a byproduct of Russian nickel production, such export restrictions could reduce output of both metals and exacerbate the current deficit in the palladium market ,” said Nitesh Shah, commodity strategist at WisdomTree.
