Gold price today September 11, Saigon Jewelry Company SJC listed the buying price of gold at 78.5 million VND/tael; the selling price is 80.5 million VND/tael, compared to the opening session of the same day, SJC gold price is stable in both buying and selling directions. The difference between buying and selling price of SJC gold is 1.5 million VND/tael.

At the same time, DOJI Group listed the buying and selling price of gold at 78.5-80.5 million VND/tael, unchanged in both buying and selling prices compared to the opening session of the same day. The difference in buying and selling prices of DOJI gold is currently 1.5 million VND/tael.

The gold ring market is listed as follows, the listed price of SJC 9999 gold is at 77.25 million VND/tael for buying and 78.5 million VND/tael for selling, up 100,000 VND for buying and 50,000 VND for selling. DOJI in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City markets adjusted up 50,000 VND in both directions to 77.35 million VND/tael for buying and 78.5 million VND/tael for selling, respectively. The buying and selling prices of PNJ brand gold rings are fixed at 77.35 million VND/tael and 78.5 million VND/tael, up 50,000 VND in both directions.

The price of Bao Tin Minh Chau's plain round rings is listed at 77.33 million VND/tael for buying and 78.48 million VND/tael for selling, an increase of 50,000 VND in both directions. Phu Quy SJC is buying gold rings at 77.3 million VND/tael and selling at 78.5 million VND/tael, an increase of 50,000 VND compared to early this morning.

Meanwhile, according to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5am today, Vietnam time, was at 2,516.62 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 10.35 USD compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 73.958 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 4.542 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The “core” CPI (excluding food and energy) for August is expected to have risen 3.2% year-on-year, compared with a 3.2% increase in the July report. The U.S. producer price index report will be released on Thursday for further clues on the interest rate outlook.

Analysts are divided on how much impact inflation data has on policy expectations, though. Deutsche Bank's head of macro research, Jim Reid, downplayed the importance of inflation compared to jobs data.

" US CPI on Wednesday and PPI on Thursday will likely help drive that debate, but it seems like jobs are more important at the moment and Friday's mixed jobs report made arguments for both sides, so the deciding factor may be how the committee views the labor market, not inflation, " Reid said.

The Fed is likely to cut interest rates at its meeting next week, and further cuts could spur ETF (exchange-traded fund) inflows and push gold prices to $2,600 an ounce by year-end, said UBS analyst Giovanni Staunovo.
