According to preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs, Vietnam's petroleum exports in February 2024 decreased by 4.4% in volume and 6.04% in value compared to the previous month, reaching 217,430 tons, worth 181.4 million USD. In the first two months of 2024, total exports reached 442,469 tons, worth 372.9 million USD, up 39.7% in volume and 29.4% in value.

Cambodia is still Vietnam's largest petroleum export market, in the first two months of 2024, reaching 88,914 tons, worth 76.2 million USD, down 12.8% in volume and 19.09% in value over the same period last year, accounting for more than 20% of total volume and total export turnover; in February 2024 alone, it reached 45,186 tons, worth 39.6 million USD, up 3.1% in volume and 8.2% in value.
Next is the Chinese market, accounting for 9-10% of the total volume and total turnover, reaching 42,230 tons, turnover of 40.2 million USD, up 125.7% in volume and 113% in value; in February 2024 alone, it reached 14,432 tons, worth 13.5 million USD.
Petroleum exports to the Korean market accounted for more than 9-10% of the total volume and turnover, reaching 41,594 tons, turnover reaching 37.6 million USD, up 43% in volume and 27.6% in value in the first 2 months of 2024; in February 2024 alone, exports decreased by 31.8% in volume and 3.04% in value.
Next is the Lao market, accounting for 6% of total volume and total turnover, reaching 27,468 tons, turnover of 22.5 million USD, up 165.9% in volume and 141.4% in value; in February 2024 alone, it reached 13,192 tons, worth 11 million USD.
Next are the markets of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, which only account for a small export proportion of less than 5% of total volume and total turnover.
