The match between Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN) and Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) took place dramatically at Hang Day Stadium, ending with an impressive 3-1 victory for the home team. In the final minutes of extra time, CAHN launched a finishing blow with a sharp counterattack. Van Vinh finished decisively, securing a 3-1 victory. With this result, CAHN rose to 4th place on the rankings with 28 points, while HAGL continued to face difficulties in the relegation race.
In the remaining two matches taking place on the afternoon of April 12, Thanh Hoa was held to a 1-1 draw by SLNA. Meanwhile, Quang Nam lost 1-2 to Binh Dinh.
