On May 15, 2008, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, then Chairman of the National Assembly, signed and issued Resolution No. 620 of the Standing Committee of the 12th National Assembly to establish the Vietnam Women Parliamentarians Group (now the Vietnam Women National Assembly Deputies Group). Through the terms of the National Assembly, many female leaders have been trusted, assigned greater responsibilities, and re-elected as National Assembly deputies. This recognizes the efforts and dedication of female National Assembly deputies in the process of performing their duties, contributing to the cause of innovation, building and defending the Vietnamese Fatherland. The 15th National Assembly has 151 female National Assembly deputies. All female National Assembly deputies maintain the qualities of people's representatives, are close to voters, enthusiastic and dedicated in their work, and strive to study to improve their political theory and legal knowledge...

Listening to the speeches and proposals of female National Assembly deputies, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong welcomed and highly appreciated the profound opinions and sense of responsibility of female National Assembly deputies. The General Secretary emphasized that at the highest state power agency, through each National Assembly term, female National Assembly deputies have always demonstrated their mettle, intelligence, talent and enthusiasm, worthy of being outstanding women, representatives of the people. The General Secretary hopes and believes that female National Assembly deputies of Vietnam will continue to promote their achievements, experiences, proactively and creatively contribute more to the activities of the country and the National Assembly, especially in specialized fields and the deputies' strengths, contributing to building an increasingly developed country, a more prosperous Fatherland, and a more prosperous and better life for the people.
