Recorded at 9:30 a.m. on April 19, Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) traded SJC gold bars at 115 million VND/tael for purchase and 119 million VND/tael for sale, down 1 million VND/tael compared to yesterday.
Previously, at the opening of trading, the price of SJC gold at the company dropped sharply to only 117.5 million VND/tael and then rebounded.
Gold bar prices fluctuated strongly by millions of dong/tael in just a few hours.
Notably, Mi Hong Company suddenly lowered the price of SJC gold bars to only 108 million VND/tael for buying and 113.5 million VND/tael for selling, down 11 million VND for buying and 9 million VND for selling compared to April 18.
Similarly, the price of 99.99 gold rings and jewelry gold also plummeted. Businesses adjusted the buying price to 111.5 million VND/tael and the selling price to 115.5 million VND/tael, down about 1.5 million VND/tael compared to yesterday.
Domestic gold prices dropped dramatically even though world prices closed the trading week at a stable level, around 3,327 USD/ounce.
