Physical therapy rehabilitation for the disabled at Thuy An Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision 966/QD-TTg approving the Planning of the social assistance facility network for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
The development goal by 2030 is to ensure that at least 90% of people in especially difficult circumstances without caregivers are consulted, assisted and managed by social assistance facilities, with priority given to assisting the elderly without caregivers, without living conditions in the community, mentally ill people, people with mental disorders, people with severe disabilities, children in especially difficult circumstances, victims of domestic violence, victims of trafficking, and minors without stable residence who are subject to educational measures in communes, wards and towns.
At least 90% of drug addicts with management records have access to counseling, treatment, drug addiction rehabilitation services, and community integration support from rehabilitation facilities.
Regarding the structure of the national network of social assistance facilities by 2030, there will be at least 725 facilities (public and non-public), including: at least 90 social protection facilities for the elderly; at least 94 social protection facilities for the care and rehabilitation of mentally ill and mentally disturbed people; at least 130 drug rehabilitation facilities; at least 130 social protection facilities for children in special circumstances; at least 117 social protection facilities for the disabled; at least 164 comprehensive social protection facilities and social work centers.
Regarding the distribution of the network of facilities by region by 2030, the Northern Midlands and Mountainous Region has at least 129 facilities; the Red River Delta Region has at least 151 facilities; the North Central and Central Coast Region has at least 169 facilities; the Southeast Region has at least 131 facilities; and the Mekong River Delta Region has at least 102 facilities.
