On the morning of October 15, at the 2023 Annual Congress of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), VFF and VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan were awarded the Third Class Labor Medal for their outstanding achievements in the cause of building and developing Vietnamese football and their effective contributions to enhancing the position of Vietnamese football in the international arena.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, congratulated VFF on being honored to receive the noble award from the Party and State leaders presented to the collective and individual VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan.
“We acknowledge the efforts and contributions of the VFF collective, generations of VFF leaders, the Executive Committee and comrade Tran Quoc Tuan personally. This award is completely worthy of the dedication and contributions of the VFF in the process of developing the country's football career, with achievements in the region and internationally.
We hope that with the achievements gained over the past time, VFF and the VFF President personally will continue to make more efforts.
In the coming period, not only football activities but also cultural, sports and tourism activities must try harder to overcome difficulties and challenges. Speaking at the ceremony to receive the Third Class Labor Medal, on behalf of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Football Federation, Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan affirmed: “This is an honor for Vietnamese football!
To achieve today's results is the effort and dedication of many generations of football players, accumulated and summarized under the guidance of former Presidents and former Leaders through the periods so that Vietnamese football can achieve extremely brilliant achievements.
This is a great motivation for the VFF and its member organizations to continue to strive and make more efforts, to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and State as well as the expectations of fans, to bring Vietnamese football to new successes, to reach new heights in the future."
