Mr. Oliver Langlet, General Director of Central Retail chain in Vietnam, assessed that the domestic manufacturing industry is growing better and better with many high-quality products and skilled labor force. According to him, in the past 30 years, Vietnam has made significant progress in raw material sources, becoming a place with a strongly developed processing industry.

Similarly, Mr. Lionel Adenot - CEO of Decathlon sports and outdoor equipment company in Vietnam, said that Vietnam has a great opportunity to become an important link in the global supply chain. He said that this opportunity is of great significance in the context of international trade facing many challenges such as lack of raw materials, the aftershocks of the pandemic still lasting, affecting the demand and supply of goods.

To take advantage of the opportunity, CEO of Dacethlon Vietnam advises businesses to make mid-term plans early, quickly adapt and change to global trends. "We are looking for independent and self-reliant suppliers to trust and cooperate with," he said.

According to Adenot, short order fulfillment times are a big plus. This requires suppliers to be flexible and prioritize the use of local materials and energy efficiency. He also noted that policies to minimize environmental impacts are also important criteria if one wants to participate in the global supply chain, which is being well implemented by a number of Vietnamese enterprises.

From the perspective of an industry and trade executive, Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai said that developing export markets and promoting trade are two important factors contributing to economic growth in recent times. He hopes that the participation of a series of large enterprises from 30 countries and territories in this series of events will support Vietnamese enterprises to participate more deeply and adapt better to the global supply chain.

During the event series, 10 thematic seminars and business forums will be held. Activities connecting with international distributors and retailers will focus on industries in which Vietnam has strengths such as food, textiles, footwear, handbags, sportswear, household appliances, furniture and supporting industries.
