The National Assembly spent 2.5 days questioning ministers and heads of sectors in four groups: Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Ethnicity; Science and Technology; and Transport.

The Ministers have a good grasp of the issue.

In the hallway of the National Assembly on the morning of June 8, speaking with Nguoi Dua Tin , delegate Tran Thi Dieu Thuy (Ho Chi Minh City delegation) assessed that the ministers participating in answering questions all had different experiences and ways of answering.

Although in one form or another, each Minister has different methods and ways of presenting, they basically have a firm grasp of the content and issues that the delegates want to raise. The solutions proposed by the Ministers to the Government to help remove obstacles in legal regulations are also very clear.

“I have noticed that ministers with parliamentary experience will always score higher than ministers who have never answered questions before the National Assembly. However, I appreciate the dedication, enthusiasm, and understanding of the issues of the ministers and their specific actions,” said Ms. Thuy.

The female delegate also said that there may be a Minister whose answers are not clear and concise enough to satisfy all the delegates' questions, but the "products" of the Ministry that the Minister is running are quite clear, such as issuing Circulars and proposing the Government to issue Decrees related to the field of his/her industry.

There are also ministers who have announced that they have done “this and that” but through supervision, they have not yet implemented some issues at the grassroots level as questioned by delegates. This shows that the actions of the Minister must be accompanied by inspection and supervision of the implementation of the organization by subordinates.

As a delegate who has participated in many questions and debates with Ministers, delegate Nguyen Anh Tri (Hanoi delegation) commented that most of the industry commanders had a firm grasp of the issues and answered very well.

Delegate Tri shared that he was very impressed with the answer of Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung because the Minister answered very clearly, coherently and concisely.

Delegates also highly appreciated the responses of Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh and Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang, as both Ministers spoke to the National Assembly for the first time.

“The Minister of Transport has only been in office for 7 months but has a firm grasp of issues and groups of issues. Even very small local projects have been answered in detail about investment capital, progress, current problems…”, Mr. Tri said, emphasizing that the industry leaders have answered questions, creating satisfaction for the National Assembly deputies participating in the questioning and answering questions.

Evaluating the content raised by the National Assembly deputies to question the Ministers, Mr. Tri said that the content of the questions was very correct and met the wishes of voters and people.

Besides, the debate of the delegates at the National Assembly forum delved into very hot issues in reality but had not been mentioned or clarified thoroughly by the industry commanders.

Talking about expectations after the question and answer session, Mr. Tri said that the aspirations of the people, voters as well as the National Assembly deputies are what was stated in the question and answer session, especially the commitments of the industry commanders must be implemented, bringing real results.

Delegate Huynh Thi Phuc (Ba Ria - Vung Tau delegation) assessed the lively question and answer sessions; delegates asked questions that were focused, key, and concise, ensuring the requirements of time and content. Ministers and heads of sectors answered clearly, without beating around the bush or dodging.

Particularly in the fields of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Transport received many debates from delegates about the implementation roadmap and solving the problems raised.

Sharing with some new Ministers and heads of sectors who have just taken up their duties in a short time and are participating in the first question-and-answer session, delegate Huynh Thi Phuc expressed her hope that the issues raised by the delegates at the question-and-answer session will be addressed by the Ministers or have a roadmap for resolution in the near future.

The National Assembly Chairman operates flexibly and smoothly.

Also according to delegate Nguyen Anh Tri, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue conducted the question and answer sessions very flexibly, smoothly, and coherently, making the atmosphere of the question and answer sessions become high-quality and humane discussions.

The National Assembly Chairman also has a clear understanding of the issues and, by continuing to question or explain, emphasize, and clarify issues, supports the industry commanders.

Sharing the same view, delegate Dieu Thuy assessed that the executive sessions of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue were very flexible, balancing the situation between the Ministers, the Parliament and the National Assembly Deputies.

“The National Assembly Chairman understands the strengths and weaknesses of each Minister, thereby supporting the Ministers to balance the situation, helping the industry commanders calmly resolve and answer the contents and issues raised by the National Assembly deputies,” Ms. Thuy assessed.

According to the delegate, the National Assembly Chairman participated in the debate and questioned the Ministers with unclear answers.

National Assembly Deputy Nguyen Van Manh (Vinh Phuc delegation) commented that the National Assembly Chairman's leadership was very flexible and creative. During the leadership process, there were suggestions and opinions to create a calm and confident mentality for the heads of sectors.

“In particular, I was very impressed with the way the National Assembly Chairman managed the situation when he had many “helping out” the Ministers when the National Assembly deputies questioned him to the end. That shows a very scientific and methodical way of managing,” said Mr. Manh.

Meanwhile, National Assembly Deputy Be Trung Anh (Tra Vinh delegation) commented that the National Assembly Chairman conducted the session very fairly and decisively, clearly orienting issues for the Minister to answer without missing any questions.

“When the atmosphere of the question-and-answer session was too tense, the Chairman made the atmosphere more open, making it easier for the Minister to answer. This is something not everyone can do,” Mr. Anh said.

National Assembly Deputy Dang Xuan Phuong (Nghe An delegation) said that the National Assembly Chairman's executive session left a "deep impression" in the hearts of National Assembly deputies, not only in its comprehensive scope on macro issues, but also in its flexible and sharp executive style, without putting too much pressure on Government members participating in answering questions .
