Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh has just sent a letter of Lunar New Year 2025 greetings to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Transport sector.

Dear comrades, civil servants, public employees and workers in the Transport sector,
On the occasion of the New Year 2025 and the Spring of At Ty, on behalf of the Party Executive Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Transport, I would like to send my warmest regards and best wishes for the New Year to all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers who have been and are working in the Transport sector and their families.
In 2024, under the leadership and direction of the Party; the regular support and supervision of the National Assembly; the drastic and effective direction and administration of the Government and the Prime Minister; the active support and coordination of the central ministries, branches and localities; the support of the people and the business community; the entire transport sector has promoted the spirit of solidarity, the highest efforts and determination, overcome all difficulties and challenges, thereby excellently completing the assigned tasks, contributing to the common achievements of the country, which have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party, State and people.
We have achieved well the breakthrough goal in terms of institutions and transport infrastructure; the results of public investment disbursement continue to be among the highest among ministries and sectors in the country; transport output maintains stable growth momentum; along with promoting digital transformation, administrative reform continues to be given importance; international cooperation has achieved many positive results, some remaining problems of the sector have been gradually resolved...
These outstanding achievements are the result of persistent efforts and the spirit of "only working, no retreating" of all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire transport sector over the past time.
In the overall results of the industry, I appreciate and thank the efforts and intelligence of each individual who has been contributing day and night to the transport industry; in particular, I would like to thank individuals who often have to be away from their families for long periods of time, overcoming many difficulties and hardships, to keep the traffic "blood vessels" always smooth and developing, worthy of the mission of those who "go ahead and pave the way".
The year 2025 is of special significance, a year of acceleration and breakthrough to the finish line to successfully implement the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025. This is also the year of many important and momentous events of the country - the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Party, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country and the year of holding Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, opening a new era - the era of striving, developing wealth, civilization and prosperity of the nation.
For the transport industry, 2025 is also a milestone of the transport industry's 80th anniversary of construction and development (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).
I hope that our entire transport sector will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, and consensus, thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the motto "The Party directs, the Government is unified, the National Assembly agrees, the People support, the Fatherland expects, then only discuss and do, not back down, do each task properly, and complete each task" to successfully complete the goals and tasks set out in 2025.
In particular, the top priority is to strive to complete and put into operation 3,000 km of expressway, Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1; accelerate the preparation for investment in the North-South high-speed railway project; ensure smooth, safe and convenient transportation activities in all fields, promptly serving the people and socio-economic development, contributing to ensuring national defense and security; resolutely and proactively implement Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee on innovation, streamlining the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient, and the directions of the Government and the Prime Minister.
