The Ministry of Finance has just issued Decision 2715 on public announcement of the State budget estimate for 2024.
Specifically, the total state budget revenue is 1.7 million billion VND. Of which, domestic revenue is 1.44 million billion VND; revenue from crude oil is 46,000 billion VND; revenue from export and import activities is 204,000 billion VND; aid revenue: 6,575 billion VND.
Total state budget expenditure is 2.12 million billion VND. Of which, development investment expenditure is 677,349 billion VND; debt interest payment is 111,714 billion VND; aid expenditure is 2,200 billion VND; regular expenditure is 1.17 million billion VND; expenditure on salary reform and salary adjustment, some subsidy regimes, allowances, social security policies is 74,048 billion VND.
In 2024, the Ministry of Finance estimates total state budget revenue at 1.7 million billion VND and state budget expenditure at 2.12 million billion VND.
Previously, the National Assembly issued Resolution 104 of the National Assembly on the 2024 State budget estimate.
In addition to the targets on state budget revenue and expenditure, the National Assembly decided on the state budget deficit of VND399,400 billion, equivalent to 3.6% of gross domestic product (GDP). Including the central budget deficit of VND372,900 billion, equivalent to 3.4% of GDP. The local budget deficit is VND26,500 billion, equivalent to 0.2% of GDP. The total state budget borrowing is VND690,553 billion.
The National Assembly assigned the Government to focus on operating fiscal policies proactively, reasonably, flexibly and effectively; coordinate synchronously, closely and smoothly with monetary policies and other policies; promptly respond to complex fluctuations in the domestic and foreign situation, maintain macroeconomic stability, control inflation, promote growth, and ensure major balances of the economy .
