Ministry of Industry and Trade approves the Charter of a company with capital of 776 billion VND

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision 1372/QD-BCT dated August 15, 2024 on the Charter of organization and operation of MVT National Electricity System and Market Operation Company Limited (NSMO). The Charter has 11 chapters and 52 articles regulating the entire organization and operation of NSMO.

Accordingly, NSMO is a single-member limited liability company owned by the state (represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade). The company has a charter capital of 776 billion VND. Headquarters at 11 Cua Bac, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.

The management and operation structure of NSMO includes: Board of members; General Director; Deputy General Directors; Chief Accountant; Board of Supervisors (with 01-03 Supervisors); NSMO's support and direct production apparatus.

NSMO is engaged in the following main business lines: (1) Establishing methods, commanding and operating the system of production, transmission, distribution and allocation of electricity in the national power system; (2) Operating transactions in the Vietnamese electricity market; (3) Managing metering data in the competitive electricity market; (4) Managing, operating, maintaining and servicing SCADA systems; EMS; MMS; FRs; PQS; WAMPAC; DERMS of Vietnam's power system (SCADA: Supervisory control and data acquisition system; EMS: Energy management system; MMS: Electricity market management information system; FRs: Fault recording monitoring system; PQs: Power quality monitoring system; WAMPAC: Wide area power system monitoring, control and protection, DERMs: Distributed power source management system) and specialized telecommunications - information technology systems serving power system operation, electricity market transaction management and renewable energy.

NSMO's related industries and professions directly serve the main business industries and professions: Training, testing and granting Operation Certificates to positions directly involved in the dispatching and operation of the power system and the electricity market; training, fostering, consulting, calculating on the power system and the electricity market; scientific research, innovation and application of science and technology to serve the dispatching of the power system and the operation of electricity market transactions; consulting, surveying, establishing, examining, supervising, and managing projects for investment projects or items/works in specialized fields, including protective relay systems, measurement systems, control, automation of power systems, smart grids, SCADA systems; EMS; MMS; FRS; PQS; WAMPAC; DERMS, specialized computer systems, specialized information systems serving the operation of the power system, the operation of electricity market transactions and renewable energy.

Providing services related to data, calculation and analysis of power systems, power equipment, regulatory process systems for power system operation, national power market, renewable energy, control information technology applications in power production, transmission and distribution, and power market power metering services.

Providing relay protection calculation services in the power system, information services from the SCADA system, connecting and exchanging databases with exploitation systems within the scope of the law, solutions for calculating renewable energy operations; Providing operational monitoring and forecasting services for power sources; researching, surveying and consulting on power system development; assessing medium and long-term power supply security; importing and exporting materials, equipment, and tools for calculating, controlling, operating the power system and the electricity market;

Depending on the time and production and business situation, NSMO can add other business lines and occupations that are not prohibited by law after being approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
