Cow suddenly appeared on the highway, 2 trucks crashed into each other causing an accident

Speaking to VietNamNet late on September 1, Mr. Dang Ngoc Anh - Deputy Chief of Office of the Traffic Safety Committee of Thua Thien Hue province said that the unit was present at the scene, coordinating with relevant agencies to investigate the serious traffic accident.

Accordingly, the accident occurred at around 7:30 p.m. the same day at Km44+600 Cam Lo - La Son highway (section through Phong My commune, Phong Dien district).

At that time, driver Hong Van Chuong (born in 1987, residing in Hoai Thanh Tay ward, Hoai Nhon town, Binh Dinh province) was driving a tractor with license plate 77C-089.24 pulling a trailer 77R-030.50 moving from La Son (Phu Loc district, TT-Hue province) to Cam Lo (Quang Tri province).

The head-on collision caused the vehicles to be crushed in the front.

At the above location, the tractor-trailer driven by Mr. Chuong crashed head-on into a truck with license plate 51C - 512.81 driven by Mr. Pham Hoang Son (born in 1998, residing in Long Binh commune, Go Cong Tay district, Tien Giang province) going in the opposite direction.

The strong, head-on collision injured both drivers. Mr. Chuong was diagnosed with a serious back injury.

Two vehicles were badly damaged.

At the scene, a cow was suspected to have been hit and killed by vehicles.

Immediately upon receiving the report, the Traffic Safety Committee of Thua Thien Hue province coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board and Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 4 (Traffic Police Department) to quickly approach the scene and handle the incident.

At the scene, authorities discovered a cow suspected to have been hit and killed by the above vehicles next to the truck.

According to authorities, the appearance of cows on the highway is very rare because the investor has built solid steel fences on both sides of the highway belt.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
