With close, creative and flexible direction from the entire political system, Bu Dang district (Binh Phuoc) has effectively implemented the National Target Program, contributing greatly to improving all aspects of people's lives and promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
With high determination to effectively implement the National Target Programs (NTPs) for the period 2021-2025. The District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Bu Dang district have led and directed resolutely, flexibly, and creatively with the participation of the entire political system from the district to communes, villages, and residential groups.
The District People's Committee and the Ethnic Affairs Department have carefully reviewed many contents to develop and issue plans to implement each specific program for the entire period. Carefully study the guiding documents of the Central Government and the Provincial People's Committee to promptly issue mechanisms and policies suitable for each specific commune and village.
With the attention and close direction of the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Bu Dang District, over the years, the Ethnic Affairs Department of Bu Dang District has always closely followed the contents of the National Target Program, closely followed the locality of each village and commune to effectively implement all projects and sub-projects as required by the Program. The effectiveness of the Program has contributed greatly to 13/15 communes reaching the new rural finish line (with 3 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards), thousands of households benefiting from the policy have escaped poverty and are gradually stabilizing their lives.
Sharing with Dai Doan Ket Newspaper about the effectiveness of the implementation of the National Target Programs, Ms. Thi Dieu Hien, District Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Bu Dang District People's Committee said: "When implementing the programs, there were many difficulties at first. However, with the high determination of the authorities at all levels to narrow the gap in socio-economic life of ethnic minorities. The district has had many policies to support synchronous implementation, gradually meeting the requirements of material facilities and people's lives, creating conditions for people in communes with many difficulties to have the motivation to strive to rise up. Capital from the National Target Programs has contributed to significantly changing the appearance of the new countryside, especially in the way of thinking and working in economic development of ethnic minorities; thousands of households have escaped poverty thanks to the practical policies of the Program. I hope that people in each commune and village will soon dispel poverty and backwardness, step by step rise up to have solid housing, a prosperous and happy life".
Mr. Nguyen Duc Dang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Bom Bo commune shared: "As a remote commune, the proportion of ethnic minorities accounts for more than 42% with 15 ethnic groups living together, Bom Bo commune has overcome difficulties, rising to become a new rural commune (NTM) in 2019, currently achieving advanced NTM; The average income per capita of the commune in 2023 reached more than 80 million VND. Bom Bo commune has completed 20 criteria for building advanced NTM and is striving to basically achieve the criteria of a type V urban area by 2025. That is the determination to join hands, unanimity; to absorb innovation and creativity in the leadership and management of the leaders and all the people of Bom Bo commune" .
Results of Bu Dang implementing the set goals from 2022 to present: 70% of ethnic minority workers of working age are trained in vocational skills suitable to their needs and conditions; preserving and developing the values and good traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups with 100% of villages having community houses and traditional cultural and artistic teams; 83% of communes in ethnic minority and mountainous areas meeting new rural standards. 19% of civil servants and public employees are ethnic minorities. Projects such as roads, schools, irrigation, power grid systems, and teachers' housing have been invested by the State with tens of billions of VND, contributing significantly to sustainable poverty reduction and improving people's knowledge in the district.
Being a homeland with a rich revolutionary tradition. Although there are still many difficulties ahead, the appearance of Bu Dang today has been and is actively changing comprehensively. People always have confidence in the Party and the government; the National Target Program has been and is creating a strong motivation for people here, especially ethnic minorities, to ignite their aspirations to rise up, gradually reduce state support, and escape from poverty sustainably.
