Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy works with the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union

On the morning of December 21, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union.

Attending the meeting were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Le Duc Cuong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Bui Thanh An - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

Attending the meeting were comrade Le Van Luong - Member of the Central Youth Union Standing Committee, Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and comrades in the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee.

CREATE MORE SPREAD FOR THE UNION MOVEMENT

Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province currently has 35 affiliated units (including: 21 District, City, Town Unions; 9 University and College Unions; 3 Union units in the armed forces; 2 Unions of Provincial Agencies and Provincial Enterprises, with 896 Union bases, 7,899 Union branches, 132,526 union members.

Implementing the Resolution of the 18th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province and the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of Youth Union, the Youth Union at all levels of Nghe An province have actively implemented the goals and tasks set out in all aspects of work, achieving many outstanding results.

Since the beginning of the Congress term, the province has organized 7 provincial-level youth projects, 204 district-level youth projects, 3,227 grassroots-level youth projects and tasks, with a total value of more than 40 billion VND.

1,897 ideas and initiatives of union members and young people were supported by the Youth Union to be implemented and realized through the space for gathering creative ideas of young people on the internet; the "3 responsibilities" movement among young civil servants and public employees was deployed synchronously.

The work of building the Youth Union and expanding the solidarity front to gather young people continues to receive attention, especially focusing on implementing breakthrough solutions to improve the quality of grassroots Youth Unions and branches, focusing on building "strong branches", "3 proactive" grassroots Youth Unions; associated with participating in building and protecting the Party and the political system.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province has issued a Plan to implement Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An to 2030, with a vision to 2045, associated with specific tasks and projects.

At the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy requested the leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and grassroots Youth Unions to directly report more information on the activities of Youth Union cadres going to the grassroots; digital transformation work, the implementation of 3 revolutionary action movements; administrative reform work in the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies; the signing of coordination programs with departments and branches.

Provincial leaders had further discussions and suggestions so that the Youth Union movement in the province can respond promptly to the current context, especially bringing the Youth Union movement into greater depth, specificity, practicality, and influence.

These include issues of start-ups, innovation, creativity; organizing Youth Unions in FDI enterprises; participating in building and creating output for OCOP products; coordinating with the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board to connect labor supply and demand;...

Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department commented: Many activities of the Youth Union have become regular; thereby, hoping that Youth Union chapters at all levels in Nghe An need to have new thinking to have more widespread and impressive activities.

Also at the meeting, issues of reorganizing the Youth Union and dealing with over-age Union cadres were discussed, analyzed and specific solutions were pointed out.

CREATING AN IMPRESSION AND IDENTITY OF NGHE AN YOUTH IN THE UNION MOVEMENT

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy acknowledged the proactiveness and adherence to work of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee in the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An Province and the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 12th National Youth Union Congress. The Youth Union movements were well evaluated by the Central Committee in all aspects.

Orienting activities in the coming time, from the perspective that cadres are the root of the work, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy pointed out that the very important task is to pay attention to building a team of Youth Union cadres equal to the task.

Accordingly, there needs to be more enthusiasm and selfless dedication from Youth Union officials; avoid bureaucracy in work.

Because reality has proven that only through activities and training can one grow. Many generations of Youth Union cadres have grown up, been recognized and honored by the organization and society, because of a process of selfless, pure and dedicated dedication.

The head of the Provincial Party Committee also emphasized: Youth Union officials must proactively learn, equip themselves with a broad background, and proficient work skills.

Along with that, the Provincial Party Secretary requested to focus on renewing thinking, renewing the movements and activities of the Union. Because in reality, after nearly 25 years of implementing the youth volunteer movement, 22 years of supporting the exam season, 10 years of "Year of Youth Volunteers"... these movements have become a brand, deeply ingrained in the awareness of union members, youth, and people.

That reality requires hard work, innovation, new approaches, new thinking, and renewing the Union movement. We cannot follow the old path, but must actively innovate to achieve new values.

In particular, the head of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee noted that the Youth Union movement must have a focus and key points to create an impression and identity of Nghe An youth.

To do so, the Youth Union must choose specific tasks to do, such as: It is necessary to take the special and unique factor of President Ho Chi Minh's hometown to implement the "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" effectively, with a pervasive influence throughout the entire Youth Union.

Or Nghe An is "a land of talented people", "a land of talented people", the Union must know how to gather the faces of former union members, outstanding young people of Nghe An who have become famous and talented in various fields to create effects, inspire, and give wings to dreams for the youth.

Or as in the revolutionary action movement, accompanying the youth, it is necessary to closely follow the development goals and tasks of the province in the current period, especially implementing Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW of the Politburo to choose a few really outstanding tasks.

The Provincial Party Secretary suggested that Nghe An youth movement could be implemented with tourism culture; with administrative reform; pioneering in launching and building a set of criteria and a set of identification of public service ethics and culture among young cadres, civil servants and public employees of the province; building an online job market for union members and youth; preventing and combating school violence...

At the same time, the Provincial Party Secretary also requested to continue to focus on building and promoting the core role of the Provincial Youth Union and its member associations; the Young Pioneer Council to create a widespread and diverse youth movement for all subjects and all fields; creating outstanding and typical collective and individual nuclei.

Also at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy gave clear directions in handling the recommendations of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee.
