On the evening of November 26, a Vietnamese-Chinese youth folk music exchange program with the theme "Let's sing together in friendship" took place in Hanoi.
The performance was jointly organized by the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the Guangxi Academy of Arts (China), attracting nearly 500 audiences from both countries.

At the event, musician Do Hong Quan - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations - shared that Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries "mountains connected to mountains, rivers connected to rivers", with a close, friendly and effective relationship between professional organizations in literature and arts, including the music field with a long tradition.
Since the 1950s, Vietnamese musicians have studied and trained in China, such as Huy Du, Pham Dinh Sau, Chu Minh, Hoang Van... Today, that good relationship is still maintained and developed.
"A typical example of such effective cooperation is that over the past years, the Guangxi Academy of Arts (China) has trained many courses of Vietnamese students in the majors of music, dance, cultural management, etc.
Many of these students, after graduating, have become famous singers and musicians such as singer Do To Hoa, trumpet player Tran Hoang Anh, ethnic artist Ba Nha...," said Mr. Do Hong Quan.
Recently, the People's Committee of Nanning City and the Guangxi Academy of Arts (China) organized the China-ASEAN Music Week and China-ASEAN Cultural Month.
The Vietnamese delegation participated with nearly 150 artists, 2 symphony and folk orchestras and bands, performing 5 shows, contributing to the success of the event.
In addition to Vietnamese songs such as the folk song " Floating Water Fern and Floating Clouds" and the Vietnamese-Chinese song composed by musician Do Nhuan in 1966, the folk song " The Condor Heroes" delighted the audience.
Chinese musical pieces such as: Dragon Fly, Tiger Leap, Jasmine, Beautiful Choang Brocade, Spring Flowers and Autumn Fruits, Chrysanthemum Terrace, Multi-Color - Song of the Wind, Little Moon Lu Cau , Big Song , Black Horse Gallop... also bring many emotions to the audience.

At the program, the Vietnamese - Chinese national symphony (composer Do Nhuan) performed by Vietnamese singer Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, a former student of Guangxi Academy of Arts, brought excitement and enthusiasm to the audience.
Ms. Tran Dich Quan - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) - shared that music has always played an important role in cultural exchange between China and Vietnam.
In recent years, music and art universities in Guangxi (China) and Vietnam have sent outstanding young artists to exchange and learn from each other, jointly organize music weeks, concerts, art exhibitions, collaborate on art creation and train young talents.
