The cooperation contents include: Exchange of lecturers, scholars, managers and students; cooperation in cancer research including basic cancer, epidemiology, prevention, diagnosis, screening, treatment, cancer control and survival; coordination in organizing scientific seminars and workshops; strengthening professional capacity building activities, focusing on training in robotics, endoscopic surgery, microsurgery, and plastic surgery in cancer, etc.
Deputy Director Pham Van Binh and a team of experts from Nagoya University Hospital exchanged, discussed and successfully performed surgery using modern robots for 5 patients with stomach cancer, rectal cancer, liver cancer and esophageal cancer.
Prof. Dr. Le Van Quang, Director of K Hospital, shared that the application of new modern techniques in cancer treatment, especially in surgical treatment, has brought significant progress to patients in the recovery process, improving their quality of life. Signing the cooperation agreement is an opportunity for experts to share and exchange experiences, update the latest advances in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer, helping patients feel secure and confident in treatment with high-quality medical services right in Vietnam.
Previously, on February 19-22, doctors from K Hospital, with the participation of Deputy Director Pham Van Binh and a team of experts from Nagoya University Hospital, discussed and successfully performed surgery using modern robots for 5 patients with stomach cancer, rectal cancer, liver cancer and esophageal cancer, all of which are complicated cases.
Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Binh said that robotic surgery has many outstanding advantages because it ensures aesthetics, minimal trauma, maximum pain relief, and reduces hospital stay while still ensuring cancer treatment results.
