At the end of the trading session, the price of Robusta coffee on the London floor on September 4, 2024 at 4:30 a.m. increased by 4,234 - 4,710 tons. Specifically, the delivery period for November 2024 is 4,710 USD/ton, an increase of 10 USD/ton); the delivery period for January 2025 is 4,513 USD/ton (an increase of 24 USD/ton); the delivery period for March 2025 is 4,341 USD/ton (an increase of 32 USD/ton) and the delivery period for March 2025 is 4,234 USD/ton (an increase of 37 USD/ton).

Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor on the morning of September 4, 2024 were dominated by red, with a decrease of 0.40 -1.25 cents/lb. Specifically, the December 2024 delivery period was 242.80 cents/lb, down 0.51%; the March 2025 delivery period was 241.05 cents/lb (down 0.43%); the May 2025 delivery period was 239.10 cents/lb (down 0.31%) and the July 2025 delivery period was 236.60, down 0.17%.

Brazilian Arabica coffee prices increased and decreased in different directions on the morning of September 4, 2024. Specifically, the September 2024 delivery period was 296.70 USD/ton, down 0.64%; the December 2024 delivery period was 294.00 USD/ton (down 0.45%); the March 2025 delivery period was 29410 USD/ton, up 0.10%) and the May 2025 delivery period was 292.05 USD/ton, down 0.34%.

Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day), Vietnam time.

Arabica coffee on the ICE Futures US (New York floor) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day), Vietnam time.

For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, it will be open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day), Vietnam time.

Domestic coffee prices were updated at 4:30 a.m. on September 4, 2024 as follows: The domestic coffee market today turned down sharply by 4,000 - 4,100 VND/kg compared to the same time yesterday, ranging from 117,000 - 118,100. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 117,600 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 118,100 VND/kg.

Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai province (Chu Prong) is 117,800 VND, in Pleiku and La Grai the same price is 117,700 VND/kg. In Kon Tum province, the price is 117,800 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 118,100 VND/kg.

The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 117,000 VND/kg.

Coffee prices today (September 4) in Dak Lak province; in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 117,900 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at 117,800 VND/kg.

Domestic coffee prices fell in line with global Arabica prices in the last trading session, mainly due to speculative selling on the London Stock Exchange. Traders said the market was technically overbought and could decline in the short term.

In addition, information about the sharp increase in global coffee exports also put pressure on the market. According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), in July, global coffee exports reached 11.29 million bags, up 12.2% compared to the same period last year.

In the first 10 months of the 2023/2024 crop year (October 2023 to July 2024), global coffee exports totaled 115.01 million bags; an increase of 10.5% compared to 104.05 million bags in the same period of the 2022/2023 crop year.

Meanwhile, certified graded Arabica coffee stocks held on the New York market increased by 7,683 bags on August 30, bringing the total inventory to 847,873 bags. Specifically, 98% of the stocks are held in Europe with a total of 832,230 bags, and the remaining 15,643 bags are held in the US.

Of these, a total of 399,595 bags, or 47.1% of the coffee registered and stored in the exchange's consumer warehouses, was processed Arabica coffee from Brazil, and 13.57% was from Honduras.
