Domestic coffee price list updated on the morning of March 14, 2025 |
Selling pressure from Vietnam increased due to abundant supply. Meanwhile, investment funds are narrowing their long-term buying positions and demand from roasters has also decreased somewhat. These factors have created a constant up-down situation in the market in recent days.
According to analysts, current coffee prices are influenced by many factors, of which supply from Brazil and Vietnam is a key factor. Although supply is abundant, sales tend to slow down as farmers expect prices to continue to rise.
Robusta coffee inventories monitored by ICE have fallen to a two-month low, providing a boost to prices. The volatility of the US dollar affects commodity prices, including coffee.
In addition, the coffee market was also affected by macroeconomic fluctuations surrounding the USD exchange rate against other major currencies, causing the Brazilian Real to increase its value by 1.8% against the USD in the first two weeks of March.
According to experts, coffee prices may continue to fluctuate in the short term due to the remaining high supply pressure. However, in the medium term, the market may recover when demand increases again and supply shows signs of decreasing.
According to the report of the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee prices in February 2025 set a new peak and recorded the highest monthly average ever.
According to statistics from the Customs Department, Vietnam's coffee exports in February 2025 reached 169.8 thousand tons, worth 964.3 million USD, up sharply by 26.7% in volume and 32.2% in value compared to January 2025; compared to February 2024, up by 6.9% in volume and 82.6% in value.
