Quang Ngai Newspaper inaugurates Studio Room and Converged Newsroom

(Baoquangngai.vn) - On the afternoon of January 19, Quang Ngai Newspaper held the inauguration ceremony of the Studio Room (filming studio) and the Multimedia Convergence Editorial Office; put up a signboard to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the province's re-establishment (July 1, 1989 - July 1, 2024), the 35th anniversary of the first issue of Quang Ngai Newspaper (July 8, 1989 - July 8, 2024) and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of Quang Ngai electronic newspaper (July 2009 - July 2024).

Attending the ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Dang Ngoc Huy; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cao Phuc; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Dang Ngoc Dung; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Xuan Men; Standing Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department Huynh Duc Minh; Director of the Department of Information and Communications Tran Thanh Truong; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Provincial People's Committee Office; leaders of the Provincial Journalists Association and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

Provincial leaders and Quang Ngai Newspaper performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Studio Room and the Convergence Newsroom.

To meet the increasingly high requirements of information and propaganda tasks, Quang Ngai Newspaper has developed the Quang Ngai Newspaper Development Project for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, focusing on electronic newspapers. The project was approved by the Provincial Party Committee in early 2023 and funded for implementation.

The project includes the following items: IT equipment for studio rooms and multimedia convergence editorial office operations rooms; repair, renovation, and upgrading of studio rooms and multimedia convergence editorial office operations rooms; and converged editorial office software. Total cost: 7.6 billion VND.

After more than 10 months of implementation, Quang Ngai Newspaper has completed two items, including: Purchasing information technology equipment; repairing, renovating, upgrading the studio and the multimedia convergence editorial office. Total cost 5.5 billion VND.

In 2024, Quang Ngai Newspaper proposed that the province allocate capital to build a converged newsroom software to complete the Quang Ngai Newspaper Development Project for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, focusing on electronic newspapers; promptly put into use on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the first issue of Quang Ngai Newspaper (July 8, 1989 - July 8, 2024).

Editor-in-Chief of Quang Ngai Newspaper Nguyen Phu Duc said that in 2023, Quang Ngai Newspaper has made efforts to complete its assigned political tasks. Quang Ngai Newspaper strives to become a multimedia, multi-platform media agency and successfully implement digital transformation in the field of journalism; aiming for professionalism, modernity and humanity.

In particular, the Quang Ngai Newspaper Development Project for the period 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, focusing on e-newspapers, will help the newspaper improve the effectiveness of human resource management, operations, promote digital transformation in the field of journalism; effectively carry out propaganda work, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province. In the coming time, Quang Ngai Newspaper hopes to continue to receive the attention and support of provincial leaders and departments and branches to successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Dang Ngoc Huy requested Quang Ngai Newspaper to focus on training human resources to meet the needs of digital transformation of journalism; and to do well in social work with many meaningful and humane activities.

Quang Ngai Newspaper needs to continue to seriously implement the principles and purposes of the press agency of the Provincial Party Committee; promptly propagate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; and be worthy of being the voice of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Ngai province.
