On the afternoon of February 21, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the State Steering Committee for important national programs, works and projects, key to the energy sector, chaired an online meeting with units and localities on the progress of the implementation of the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project. Attending at the Vinh Phuc bridge were Comrade Phung Thi Kim Nga, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Power Development Steering Committee; leaders of a number of departments, branches and localities.
The Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project is a national key project with a total investment of over VND 7,400 billion, invested by EVN. The scale of the project includes the construction of a new 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line, nearly 229 km long, passing through 4 provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc. In Vinh Phuc province, the Lao Cai - Vinh Yen 500kV transmission line project passes through the province with a length of 48.58 km in 5 districts of Binh Xuyen, Tam Duong, Tam Dao, Lap Thach, Song Lo; 54 resettled households; the route corridor area is about 135.39 hectares.
Speaking at the online conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga said: The Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has met and assigned specific tasks, associated with the responsibilities of the leaders of the localities where the project passes. The Provincial People's Committee has established a working group to monitor, urge, and advise on resolving difficulties in compensation, support, and resettlement when the State reclaims project land; assigning tasks to relevant agencies to promote statistics, counting, and implementation of procedures related to compensation and site clearance.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien requested ministries, branches and localities to work more thoroughly and in more detail so that the project can be on schedule; localities continue to do a good job of propaganda, complete documents and procedures related to compensation, site clearance and payment to people. EVN Group urgently completes the selection of contractors to start construction as soon as the site is available and conditions are met...
Speaking after the online conference, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga requested localities to closely coordinate with project investors to resolutely carry out tasks in accordance with assigned functions and tasks, ensure progress of compensation, site clearance, resettlement and project implementation; proactively advise on resolving difficulties and problems in the process of project implementation, striving for Vinh Phuc province to hand over the site to construction units before March 30, 2025.
