On the afternoon of May 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) coordinated with the People's Committee of Ha Trung district to organize a conference on the draft plan and preparations for the pilot organization of the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival in 2023.

Within the framework of the working program, the working delegation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ha Trung district visited the site to conduct a field survey of the pilot Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival in 2023 and the local preparation work.

Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 19625/UBND-VX dated December 31, 2022 of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with Ha Trung district to agree and draft a plan to pilot the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival model in 2023. According to the agreed plan and scenario, the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival in 2023 will take place from July 6 to 8 (ie from May 19 to 21, Quy Mao year) in Ha Long commune.

At the conference, representatives of specialized units of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Ha Trung district, departments and branches of the district and Ha Long commune discussed and contributed to the draft plan to organize the pilot Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival in 2023, the selection of the venue, and agreed on plans to prepare for organizing this important event.

After listening to the draft plan for the preparation of the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival in 2023 and the comments of representatives of relevant units and Ha Trung district, Comrade Pham Nguyen Hong, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, requested Ha Trung district and Ha Long commune to coordinate with specialized units of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to complete the festival organization plan. At the same time, deploy the preparation work, paying special attention to implementing the plan to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and fighting, and power grid safety during the event; epidemic prevention work, arranging mobile medical vehicles in Ha Long commune during the event.

He also requested relevant units and Ha Trung district to reach consensus and effectively carry out tasks according to the plan and script approved by the Provincial People's Committee, and coordinate well to complete the script, organize the main ceremony, the festival and activities within the framework of the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival in 2023. Pilot the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong festival model according to the script approved by the Provincial People's Committee, thereby drawing experience and perfecting the script for annual implementation to promote the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival to serve tourism development.

Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong Festival is held to pay tribute to and commemorate historical figures who have made many contributions to the nation's history; preserve traditional cultural values; and at the same time promote the value of relics to attract tourists to the festival in order to gradually develop tourism at the Gia Mieu - Trieu Tuong relic site and neighboring tourist attractions of Ha Trung district.
