Fruit and vegetable exports increase sharply at the beginning of the new year
According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, in the first half of January, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export turnover continued to maintain a strong growth momentum. Accordingly, the fruit and vegetable export turnover in the first half of the year reached 229.4 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, the above results increased by 50%, equivalent to an increase of more than 76 million USD and reached approximately the figure for the whole month of January 2023 (according to Tien Phong).
- A series of businesses were fined for securities violations.
The State Securities Commission has consecutively fined 7 enterprises for securities violations with a total fine of nearly 1.5 billion VND. Previously, on January 12, the State Securities Commission announced the handling of securities violations against 4 enterprises, namely Sao Thai Duong Investment Joint Stock Company (267.5 million VND), Ba Ria - Vung Tau Housing Development Joint Stock Company (235 million VND), Dai Viet Securities Joint Stock Company (435 million VND) and An Gia Real Estate Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (92.5 million VND) with a total fine of more than 1 billion VND (according to Nguoi Lao Dong).

PetroVietnam Drilling and Well Services Corporation (PV Drilling - stock code PVD) has just announced the decision to be administratively sanctioned for tax violations with a total amount of tax arrears, fines and late payment fees of nearly 4.2 billion VND. On the stock market, PVD shares are priced at 27,350 VND/share. Since the beginning of the third quarter of 2023, this stock has only increased slightly by about 6% (according to Nguoi Lao Dong).
