(CPV) - On December 12, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a conference to summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW. Minister Nguyen Hong Dien chaired the conference. Attending the conference were delegates, Departments, Divisions, and functional units of the Ministry.

At the conference, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Industry and Trade) Tran Quang Huy reported on the implementation progress of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Specifically, on December 4, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 3191/QD-BCT to establish a Steering Committee to summarize the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade.
On December 4, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a document directing units under the Ministry to strictly implement the instructions of the Central Steering Committee and the Government Steering Committee on the content, purpose, requirements and orientations for restructuring the apparatus, and report to the Ministry before December 8, 2024. On December 6, 2024, the Steering Committee summarizing the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the Ministry of Industry and Trade held its first meeting with the heads of units under the Ministry to disseminate, orient and discuss the restructuring and streamlining of the apparatus of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
On December 9, 2024, the Steering Committee for summarizing the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the Ministry of Industry and Trade held its second meeting to discuss and agree on the draft Summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and the Plan to reorganize and streamline the apparatus of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
On December 10, 2024, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade held a meeting with the participation of the Central Organizing Committee, the Central Inspection Committee, and the Central Internal Affairs Committee to discuss and agree on the draft summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, summarizing the implementation of functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the plan to arrange and streamline the organizational apparatus of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Immediately after Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW was issued, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade directed the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to issue Plan No. 908-KH/DUB dated November 28, 2017 and Action Program No. 966-CTr/DUB dated December 29, 2017 on studying, thoroughly grasping and implementing the Resolution of the 6th Central Conference, Session XII. At the same time, leaders and direct subordinate Party committees to organize and participate in doing well the ideological work, widely propagating the basic contents of the Resolution to cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers in subordinate Party organizations.
Speaking at the conference, the Minister of Industry and Trade said that the Central Government and the Government have directed to continue to strongly innovate, urgently arrange and perfect the organization and apparatus of the political system, ensuring streamlining, strength, improving effectiveness and efficiency of operations, associated with restructuring the contingent of cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity and equal to the task. At the same time, it is determined that this is a revolution, a difficult, complicated and sensitive task, but it cannot be avoided and cannot be done any later. Therefore, it is necessary to do well the political and ideological work of cadres, especially the arrangement, organization and implementation of policies for cadres.
Minister Nguyen Hong Dien affirmed that we must try to arrange our organizational apparatus to suit the nature of the tasks and requirements of the Industry and Trade sector. It must not only meet domestic requirements but also be consistent with external institutions.
"Personnel work must ensure a common ground, will be coordinated in general and this time we are arranging for internal agencies and units, that is, agencies and units listed in the Decree on the organization, functions and tasks of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the spirit of Decree 96" - Minister Nguyen Hong Dien emphasized./.
