On the occasion of its 25th anniversary in Vietnam, RMIT University Vietnam had a record number of graduates with more than 2,900 students.
Speaking at the ceremony in Hanoi, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Gillian Bird shared her gratitude for the role ofeducation in the two countries: “The relationship between Australia and Vietnam is stronger than ever as we recently celebrated the elevation of our bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This relationship is built on decades of cooperation in key areas such as trade, security and education.”

Education is the bridge connecting Vietnam to the future and connecting Vietnam to the world , and is a fundamental part of the relationship between the two countries. Through transnational education programs, student exchanges and research collaborations, Australian universities have become an important part of Vietnam’s education landscape.
This year's graduating class includes students from all levels: PhD, postgraduate certificate, master's and bachelor's.
Master's degrees are awarded to new graduates of the Master's programs in International Business, Business Administration, Information Security and Artificial Intelligence, one of the fields with the highest demand for human resources at present.

Dr. Dang Thi Huong, who received an Honorary Doctorate in Business, shared her inspiring personal story at the graduation ceremony : “I was born in a small village in Vietnam, where poverty was a daily reality and education was not available to girls. I dreamed of becoming a teacher, but at the age of 12, I was forced to leave school. Today, I am still a girl from a small village in Vietnam, but now a confident woman, a social enterprise owner and a lifelong learner.”

The largest group of graduates came from the Bachelor of Business (over 1,240 students), followed by the Bachelor of Digital Marketing and the Bachelor of Communication (Professional Communication). This year’s graduation ceremony welcomed the first batch of graduates from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation), Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Artificial Intelligence.
Established in Melbourne, Australia in 1887, RMIT University was built on a commitment to community development. In 2000, RMIT University Vietnam was established. After 25 years, the unit has 12,000 students, 1,300 lecturers and nearly 25,500 alumni.
RMIT University is considered a typical Australian investor in Vietnam, contributing to the development of the knowledge economy and bridging people-to-people diplomatic links.
