Since October 20, many Facebook users in Vietnam have started to change their profile pictures using artificial intelligence integrated into the Zalo application. According to the developer, Zalo AI Avatar is a new feature that can create profile pictures for users to create unique portraits, with many different versions and style options.
These AI-generated photos are rated by many users as natural, retaining the facial features of real people, but the first results are not always satisfactory. The publisher provides each account with 50 free uses per day (counting the total number of creations), if they run out, they will have to wait until the next day to continue the experience.
Facebook users share before and after photos created by AI, with features in the AI photo resembling real-life faces
"I tried 50 times today to get a satisfactory result to send to my friends for evaluation and they all had similar comments," said Mr. Tuan Hung (Hanoi).
Mr. Trung Nam (Hanoi) said that when acquaintances look at the result, they will immediately recognize who is in the photo. "I tried showing it to my mother and she recognized it right away, and asked why the hair was so long. Other details such as the bridge of the nose, ears, face, eyebrows or lips are all the same. But to recreate it well, you need a photo with clear facial details and little background detail," Trung Nam explained further.
To use, users need to install the Zalo application on their device and have a separate personal photo, limit irrelevant details (best to use portrait photos, photos of themselves with a frame focusing on the face...), upload to the system, then select gender, age, desired photo style (there are 6 options). From there, AI will process according to the request to create a new portrait photo. With this interesting feature, many users also try to create images of themselves at different ages.
