According to information from the Vietnam Military History Museum (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi ), after a period of free opening for residents and visitors, the museum will begin charging entrance fees.
Starting from April 12, people and tourists visiting the museum need to buy tickets at a price of 40,000 VND/person/time.
In addition, many people will be exempted from entrance fees, including: people under 16 years old, people 80 years old and over, war invalids, people with revolutionary contributions, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and Labor Heroes.
Cases eligible for a 50% discount on ticket prices include: people with severe disabilities according to Clause 2, Article 11 of Decree 28 of the Government; senior citizens who are Vietnamese citizens aged 60 or older, with a senior citizen card or valid documents; students aged 16 or older with cards issued by nationaleducational institutions.
The new Vietnam Military History Museum is located in Tay Mo and Dai Mo wards (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi), next to Thang Long Avenue, with an area of 38.66 hectares. The museum opened on November 1, 2024 and is free to visit so far.
The museum currently preserves and displays more than 150,000 artifacts, including four national treasures: two MIG-21 aircraft (serial numbers 4324, 5121), T54B tank (serial number 843), and the Determination to Fight map in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.
Opening hours: morning from 8:00 to 11:30, afternoon from 13:00 to 16:30.
