A series of businesses have announced cash dividends to shareholders right after the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday. For example, Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (stock code VIB) closed the shareholder list at the end of January to pay an interim cash dividend for 2023 at a rate of 6%/share. Accordingly, investors owning 1 share will receive 600 VND. VIB is the first bank to pay cash dividends in 2024. The dividend payment date is February 21. With a charter capital of more than VND 25,000 billion, equivalent to more than 2.5 billion shares, it is estimated that VIB will pay more than VND 1,520 billion to shareholders this time.

Similarly, shareholders of Southern Dry Cell and Storage Battery Joint Stock Company (stock code PAC) will receive the first interim dividend payment in 2023 at a rate of 5% in cash, equivalent to 500 VND per share. The payment date is February 28. With 46.47 million shares in circulation, it is estimated that PAC will have to pay a total of more than 23.2 billion VND in this interim dividend payment. Of which, Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem), the largest shareholder holding over 51% of the company's capital, will receive nearly 12 billion VND.

Another company, Cat Loi Joint Stock Company (stock code CLC), will pay the first cash dividend of 2023 at a rate of 15%, equivalent to 1,500 VND for every share owned by investors. The dividend payment date is February 28. It is estimated that the company will pay a total dividend of about 39.3 billion VND this time. This is a unit under the Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation (Vinataba). Currently, with a holding rate of 51%, Vinataba will receive about 20 billion VND from this dividend.

Another company, Thua Thien-Hue Construction Joint Stock Company (stock code HUB), will pay a 2023 cash dividend at a rate of 10%, equivalent to 1,000 VND per share owned by a shareholder. The payment date is February 29. Thus, with nearly 26.3 million shares in circulation, the company plans to spend 26.3 billion VND to pay this dividend.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Disinfection Joint Stock Company (stock code VFG) announced the second interim dividend payment in 2023 at a rate of 10% in cash, meaning shareholders will receive 1,000 VND for every share they own. The payment date is March 8. With 41.7 million shares in circulation, it is estimated that the company needs to spend 41.7 billion VND to make this interim dividend payment. Currently, PAN Group is the largest shareholder holding 41.98% of charter capital and will receive nearly 18 billion VND from this dividend...
