(CLO) On the morning of December 8, at Yen Tu Special National Relic Site (Thuong Yen Cong Commune, Uong Bi City, Quang Ninh Province), the Yen Tu Heritage Run 2024 - Touching the Heritage Area took place.
The race "YEN TU Heritage 2024 - Touching the heritage area" is organized by the People's Committee of Uong Bi City and the Quang Ninh Journalists Association.
In its first edition, the race attracted about 6,000 athletes from provinces and cities across the country to register to participate.

Athletes compete in 3 distances: 5km, 10km and 21km... At the tournament, athletes start from the Stone Gate area of Yen Tu Gallery through the most beautiful routes of Yen Tu Relic Site.
In preparation for the race, Uong Bi City has carefully prepared the race route, safety work, medical conditions, security and order... best for the race. At the same time, Uong Bi City has also prepared information about 88 accommodation facilities, 34 restaurants, and eateries near the competition area to introduce and create the most favorable conditions for athletes and delegations to attend the race.
The "Yen Tu Heritage 2024 - Touching the heritage area" race is a practical activity to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of Uong Bi's construction and development on October 28 (1961 - 2024), the 61st anniversary of Quang Ninh Province's founding on October 30 (1963 - 2024), Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23; and the 716th anniversary of the day King Tran Nhan Tong entered nirvana.
The "Yen Tu Heritage 2024 - Touching the heritage area" race is also a stimulus activity, attracting tourists to Uong Bi city in general and to Yen Tu historical relic and scenic area in particular in the fall and winter; initially building and creating a new, attractive "Sports Tourism" product and contributing to exceeding the target of attracting 1.3 million tourists to Uong Bi city in 2024.
