556 Dak Nong high school students compete in English speaking contest

On the morning of April 16, in Gia Nghia City, the Department of Education and Training opened the English Speaking Contest for high schools, school year 2024-2025.

The contest took place from April 16-18, attracting the participation of 556 students from 32 high schools, ethnic minority secondary schools and the provincial Center for Continuing Education - Foreign Languages ​​- Information Technology.

With the theme "English in real life", each team of 2 contestants will choose a practical problem that they or the community are facing in the process of studying, working or living in society.

Candidates presented solutions they applied to effectively solve that problem, and at the same time shared positive messages that were meant to promote, educate, and inspire the community.

The content of the speech contest is presented in a three-part structure: introduction, content and conclusion.

In the introduction, contestants briefly introduce themselves and lead into the chosen topic. In the content, each team has 4-8 minutes to present their views, solutions and related evidence. The conclusion focuses on the main message, calling for action and spreading positive values ​​to the community.

The contest attracted the participation of 556 students from 32 units, including high schools, ethnic boarding schools and continuing education centers - foreign languages ​​- information technology in the whole province.
