Ms. Tran Minh Phuong, Director of Project Management Board 1, Ho Chi Minh City Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
For Cu Chi Hospital, the technical system items are in the final construction phase. Related works such as fire prevention and fighting (PCCC) acceptance and environmental licensing are being urgently deployed to promptly accept and put into use in the first quarter of 2025.
Thu Duc Regional General Hospital is also completing the final stages. It is expected that this hospital will be accepted and put into operation at the same time as Cu Chi Hospital in the first quarter of 2025.
Regarding the provision of medical equipment for hospitals, Ms. Phuong said that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has approved the project and the contractor selection plan. Currently, the Project Management Board is promoting the necessary procedures to organize the bidding in the first quarter of 2025. It is expected that by the third or fourth quarter of 2025, the hospitals will be fully equipped with equipment to operate stably.
Accelerating the construction and completion of gateway hospitals not only meets people's health care needs but also helps reduce the load on upper-level hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.
