For the first time, the two provinces have jointly organized the Ninh Thuan – Binh Thuan Car – Motorcycle Race. This is an event in response to the National Tourism Year 2023, welcoming the UNESCO Certificate of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding and the Ninh Thuan Grape – Wine Festival in 2023.
With 200 racers nationwide participating, this event has become the center of entertainment for tourists. Mr. Huynh Ngoc Tam - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, said: This is an event in a series of activities to celebrate the Ninh Thuan Grape - Wine Festival; at the same time, it is part of a series of coordinated activities between the two provinces in the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence". The Off-Road Car - Motorcycle Race on Sand taking place in Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province will end on June 18. Off-Road Car - Motorcycle Racing is an adventure sport that has developed rapidly in Vietnam in recent times . In particular, racing on sand always attracts the attention of domestic and international athletes.
This year's Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan Off-road Car - Motorcycle Race on Sand attracted nearly 200 athletes from domestic and international racing teams and clubs ; in which the Motorcycle race had 100 athletes competing in 3 categories: Amateur (10 km distance), Semi-professional (15 km distance) and Professional (20 km distance) . Along with that, the Car race had nearly 100 athletes competing in 3 categories: Original Pickup Class, Upgraded Pickup Class and SUV Class regardless of original and upgraded, in which each category included 5 SS tests.
The Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan Open Off-Road Car - Motorcycle Race on Sand 2023 is a meaningful activity , creating a playground for athletes who love off-road racing domestically and internationally. At the same time, through this event, we aim to introduce and promote the potential, image of the homeland and people of Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan to domestic and international tourists.
