Deserving the title of "leader" of the youth

As the “leading bird” of the movement in the unit, Mr. Phan Manh Tien, Secretary of the Youth Union of Cao Nguyen Practice High School, together with the Executive Committee of the School Youth Union, launched and implemented extensive emulation campaigns among students such as: organizing school-level Olympic competitions, selecting individuals with capacity to create resources for excellent student competitions; launching the “Good Study Week” emulation to motivate and encourage students to make efforts in their studies.

To create a good environment for students to practice, the School Youth Union also organizes cultural and artistic activities, sports, life skills and programs such as "Supporting exam season", "Volunteer Saturday", "Red Flamboyant Campaign".

Mr. Tien shared: “In addition to solid knowledge in studying, participating in community activities helps union members and students gain more understanding of real life, and better understand their position and role in the community. From there, they actively study and practice to become useful citizens for society.”

Through these activities, in the 2023-2024 school year, 1 student of the school participated and won the Second Prize in the 4th Dak Lak Provincial English Olympiad for Students; 1 student won the Encouragement Prize in the Vietnam Quintessence Contest organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Not only is she an active "leader" of the Youth Union, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc - Secretary of the Youth Union of Tan An Ward (Buon Ma Thuot City) is a pioneer in implementing digital transformation, gradually bringing information technology into the work of the Youth Union and life.

Ms. Ngoc and the Ward Youth Union Executive Committee advised on implementing the models of "Day without writing", "Online Day", "Day without appointment"; establishing and maintaining the volunteer team "Youth volunteers participating in administrative reform", "Community digital technology team". Thereby supporting people to register for accounts, submit online public service applications, make cashless payments, digitize household registration records, activate electronic identification, and support online application submission for ID cards for children under 14 years old in the locality.

Applying digital transformation in economic development, Ms. Ngoc came up with the idea and supported the construction of a collective economic model of the "Technology Vehicle" Youth Cooperative; at the same time, connecting with Dong Tien Transport Cooperative and transportation and delivery applications to connect and create jobs for young people in the area.

According to Ms. Ngoc, digital transformation is an important task that union members and young people need to carry out and promote their core role. Thanks to digital technology, the policies and laws of the Party, State and locality are closer and faster to the people. Therefore, each activity of the ward Youth Union has set a goal of how to bring positive social impressions, gain people's approval and create a strong spread in society.

Participating in many projects and community activities on environmental protection, Ms. Do Thi Kim Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of Dak Lak Pedagogical College always wants to spread the "green" lifestyle to everyone around.

Mr. Phan Manh Tien, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc and Ms. Do Thi Kim Ngoc are three individuals from Dak Lak province honored to receive the Ly Tu Trong Award 2025 presented by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

Thinking is doing, in 2023, Ms. Ngoc came up with the idea to implement the model "Old battery collection station - receiving green trees".

To create a ripple effect, the program is planned to be organized by her during holidays, anniversaries, peak days of volunteering to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and environmental protection activities at public places in the city and in disadvantaged villages and hamlets in the province.

Up to now, this model has attracted more than 600 union members, youths and people to participate, collecting more than 50 kg of used batteries and is currently being expanded to branches and associations to continue implementing in the activities and programs of the unit.

In addition, to bring messages about environmental protection to the community, Ms. Ngoc advised the School Youth Union to coordinate with local organizations and unions to participate in propaganda in residential areas about the harmful effects of environmental pollution, climate change; the meaning of living "green" through practical actions such as: planting trees; recycling plastic bottles and jars; not littering; using environmentally friendly items...

“Through these simple activities, we want union members, youth, students, and pupils to gradually raise their awareness, actions, and responsibilities in practicing green skills and green behaviors, promoting green lifestyles, inspiring, and spreading beneficial green lifestyles to the community,” Ms. Ngoc shared.
