On August 5, the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation issued decisions on disciplining Hanoi and Hai Phong Clubs due to the act of setting off flares by Hai Phong fans at Hang Day Stadium in Round 4, Phase 2 of V.League 1-2023.
Specifically, Hanoi Club received a fine of 70 million VND due to the situation where spectators lit many flares, causing insecurity and safety at the stadium during the match between Hanoi Club and Hai Phong Club on August 2, 2023 in Round 4, Phase 2 of V.League 1-2023.

Hai Phong Club received a fine of 70 million VND and banned the fans of this club from entering the stadium for the next match at the Hanoi Club's stadium (a match in the national professional football tournament) because the fans of the Club caused insecurity and safety; set off many flares in the stadium during the match between the two teams on August 2, 2023 in Round 4, Phase 2 of V.League 1-2023.
Hai Phong and Hanoi Clubs have the right to appeal to the Vietnam Football Federation's Complaints Resolution Board according to regulations.
Previously, in the match of Round 4, Phase 2 of V.League 1-2023, which took place on August 2, fans of Hai Phong Club set off flares at Hang Day Stadium. Although the authorities were present to extinguish the flares, the flares burned a child sitting nearby. A member of the match organizing committee took the child to the ambulance to the hospital. After bandaging the wound, the child was taken back to the medical room of Hang Day Stadium with his relatives.
