On the morning of March 29, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung attended and spoke at the launch of the "90-day and night campaign to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in Ninh Thuan province.
The launching ceremony is a meaningful and deeply humane event, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of our nation, aiming at the goal of improving people's lives in the era of national development, wealth and prosperity.
Our Party and State always identify ensuring social security and sustainable poverty reduction as the top priority tasks, with profound humanistic significance. The 13th National Party Congress clearly stated that "Socio-economic development must be associated with ensuring fairness, progress and social security", eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a political task, but also a responsibility from the heart, helping people "settle down and make a living", gradually rising up to escape poverty sustainably.

Expressing his joy at the positive results in the province's work to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, such as the construction of 652/1,361 houses, reaching 47.9% of the plan, determined to complete all by June 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the fast progress, 4 months ahead of the Prime Minister's direction.
On behalf of the Government leaders, the Deputy Prime Minister commended the sense of responsibility, high political determination and creative and flexible ways of doing things of the Ninh Thuan province political system, along with the enthusiastic response of businesses, philanthropists and people.
The program of the whole country joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a vivid manifestation of the precious tradition of "the whole leaves cover the torn leaves" of our nation, in accordance with Uncle Ho's teaching: "Unity, unity, great unity; success, success, great success".
In the spirit of implementing Uncle Ho's words: "It's a hundred times easier without the people, it's ten thousand times harder with the people", the Deputy Prime Minister called on the business community and all the people of Ninh Thuan to actively participate in the "90-day and night campaign to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", each person contributes a hand, each household shares a part, those with more strength will support greatly, those with less strength will help with small tasks, so that each house built is not only material but also love and sharing of the whole community.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in Ninh Thuan province to focus on implementing a number of key tasks.
Firstly, it is necessary to review and accurately determine the quantity and subjects needing support; ensure allocation is public, transparent, without duplication, without omission, and ensure that there is no exploitation, profiteering, negativity, or waste.
Second, mobilize all resources from the state budget, contributions from the business community, philanthropists and especially the participation of the people themselves. The military, police, youth unions, and villagers all participate in supporting the transportation of materials and construction, in order to reduce costs and speed up progress.

Third, ensure the quality of housing according to the "3 hard" standards - hard foundation, hard wall frame, hard roof - so that each house is a sustainable "warm home" for people. At the same time, build housing with synchronous infrastructure; There are long-term solutions to ensure sustainability and avoid the recurrence of temporary housing in the future.
Emphasizing the huge amount of work, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the entire political system of Ninh Thuan province to study and learn from good models and lessons to effectively and timely implement the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
"Ninh Thuan must strive to be among the top 5 provinces nationwide in completing the fastest movement and program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for the people," the Deputy Prime Minister suggested.
