On December 25, in Dong Nai, the Tourism Association of Southeast provinces and cities and the STA group (with Ben Tre, Can Tho and An Giang) held a conference to review the agreement on cooperation in tourism development.

According to the report, in 2024, regional and STA group linkage activities will be highly effective. Incomplete statistics show that the entire region will welcome over 73 million visitors, an increase of 12.6% compared to 2023.

Of which, over 67 million domestic visitors, up 12% and nearly 7 million international visitors. Total tourism revenue of the whole region in 2024 reached 215,178 billion VND, up 18.8% over the same period in 2023.

Last year, many new tours and routes were formed such as the cultural - historical - spiritual tour to learn about the Southern Mother Goddess worship and the Southern spirit connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Duong - Tay Ninh; the tour to experience Southern cuisine through 4 localities Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai - Binh Duong - Tay Ninh; the green tourism tour (Go Green) combining sports with the journey Ho Chi Minh City - Ba Ria - Vung Tau; the river tour along the Saigon - Dong Nai river, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Binh Duong and Dong Nai...

At the conference, the Tourism Association of Southeast provinces and cities jointly signed a joint statement on developing green tourism and reducing net greenhouse gas emissions.
