It turns out that the father the young man respected so much was hiding a shocking secret.

This story was published on the website by Yangzi Evening News/Ziniu News on January 6.

The journey to find relatives of a young man adopted by 7 families

In 2008, Mr. Wang Gang (Henan, China), then 25 years old and already had his own family, went to Tengzhou (Shandong) to look for relatives. The local press at that time published a series of articles "Young man Wang Gang goes to Tengzhou to look for his biological parents".

Mr. Wang Gang said he was not sure of his actual date of birth, and could only estimate it based on people his age. He said he had a total of seven adoptive families. "In 2008, when I was looking for relatives, people who knew the story in Tengzhou said that before I was 5 years old, I had been adopted by three families. My current surname is from a foster family in Zhumadian."

Recalling his childhood, Wang Gang recalled that at the age of five he was sent to live with a Hong family for upbringing. "They left me to live with the elderly in a poor rural area. Life there was very hard, and I was bullied by the children in the village. So after three or four years of living there, I left."

He started wandering around by skipping train tickets. "Then I went to Xuzhou and was taken home by a local kid. That family found another family to adopt me. After that, I was transferred to three other local foster families, living there for a total of about half a year. Among them, there was one family that treated me very well and wanted to keep me, but they already had a son about my age. When they put me on the bus, they even gave me money, bought me cakes and fruit."

By the time he was around 13, Wang Gang was completely independent , no longer relying on any foster family. "At that time, I started with jobs like shining shoes and selling newspapers."

The reports revealed that Wang Gang was once adopted by a truck driver named Hou Mo Mo. With the help of the police, Wang Gang was able to locate Hou Mo Mo’s home and found his first adoptive parents and an old family photo. However, the identity of his biological parents remains a mystery as Hou Mo Mo is currently working as a delivery man.

Just one day later, local media continued to report that Mr. Vuong Cuong had found his biological parents in Hau Kinh Cau village (Dang Chau) after many efforts to find them with the enthusiastic help of the press and police. He was told that he was the illegitimate son of Mr. Hau Mo Mo. The family was reunited after more than 20 years of separation.

Everything seemed to be fine, however, 16 years later, the harsh truth was revealed when Vuong Cuong decided to do a DNA test for blood relations. What happened?

The confession of the fake "father"

In December 2024, when Mr. Hou was hospitalized due to old age and illness, Wang Gang took the opportunity to do a DNA test and surprisingly, the results showed that the two were not related by blood. At that moment, Wang Gang completely collapsed. This meant that the reunion 16 years ago was just a "play".

At this time, Mr. Vuong Cuong was shocked to realize that for many years, Hau Mo Mo had been trying to delay the DNA test because he had many hidden secrets. "What made me feel strange was that he said he did not know the Hong family who had raised me before, and when talking about which family he had sent me to, he stammered," Mr. Vuong Cuong shared.

He still remembers clearly: "When we first met, I kept asking about my biological mother, but he only said that she had passed away after giving birth to me, and that there were no relatives on my mother's side. Over the years, I also asked "father" many times, but he always avoided answering."

Actually, we wanted to do a DNA test from the beginning, but the technology was not popular at that time, if we wanted to do it, we had to go to big cities. Mr. Hau used that as an excuse to delay. Moreover, there were a lot of people on the day we recognized each other, so it was not convenient for me to ask in detail."

"In 2011, I took him to the hospital to have his blood type tested. The result was that we both had type B blood, which temporarily dispelled my suspicions. Moreover, our relationship was very good at that time, so I didn't want to dig deeper. Although I still had some doubts, I didn't want to destroy the friendship that had just been rediscovered."

Mr. Wang Gang admitted that although Mr. Hou is not his biological father, their relationship has been very good over the years. "I live in Zhengzhou and he lives in Tengzhou, Shandong. In the first 8 years after we recognized each other, I went back to Tengzhou to visit him every holiday. However, in recent years, I have been back less often. Recently, because of his health problems, I took him to a big hospital for a check-up."

Mr. Vuong Cuong also said that in the past years, Mr. Hau has never asked for support money and he has never given it. "Mainly, every holiday, I bring gifts home to give, and he gives lucky money to my children."

Since childhood, Mr. Vuong Cuong has always longed to find his biological parents. Therefore, the fact that the DNA results did not match made him extremely miserable. He said: "I was afraid that I could not control my emotions, so at first I did not ask him directly but called him. I asked him why the DNA results did not match?" Mr. Vuong Cuong said that Mr. Hau only replied with one sentence: "Let me think about it." He added: " I waited for him to think about it and call me back, but 6 days passed and there was still no response."

It was not until Mr. Vuong Cuong came to see him in person that Mr. Hau admitted that he had deliberately adopted him as his biological son, even though he knew it was not true, with the desire to give him a complete family. He said: "I am not ashamed of heaven and earth, not ashamed of my conscience" . On the contrary, Mr. Vuong Cuong expressed doubts: "At that time, I was 25 years old, had a family and a career, what was there to be pitied about?".

"Now I just want to know where I came from." Mr. Vuong Cuong said that Mr. Hau later provided another clue: a man named Nham who had died of cancer was the one who had entrusted him to Mr. Hau to raise. "But this man named Nham was not my biological father. I also do not know the truth of this clue."

Currently, Mr. Vuong Cuong is continuing to investigate and verify this clue. He affirmed: "If this clue is false, I will suspect Mr. Hau is involved in human trafficking and will report it to the police."

A representative of the organization that helps victims of kidnapping and human trafficking called "Baby Come Home" said that they have collected a blood sample from Vuong Cuong and will coordinate with the police to analyze it with the DNA system that is stored in the national repository.

In addition, a lawyer in Henan said that concealing the father-son relationship is a civil matter. Mr. Vuong Cuong can request compensation for the mental damage caused by Mr. Hau.
