Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Hoang Viet Bac (26 years old, currently a tour guide in Hanoi) said he posted cute photos online. 12 members of class 5A reunited at the old primary school to reminisce about their childhood memories.
"No one thought it would be possible to have a primary school reunion. However, we had a very meaningful day together. 22 years ago, 23 members went to kindergarten together and then studied together for 5 years at the beloved Son Lac Primary School. On the occasion of 15 years away from school, class 5A returned and together reminisced about the dear memories," he said.
Viet Bac said his class studied together from 2003 to 2010, from kindergarten class A at Kim Phu Kindergarten to class 5A at Son Lac Primary School (Tuyen Quang province). When they reached middle school, they did not study together and lost contact from then on.
It wasn’t until 2020 that they started a group chat with a few members. Then, they suddenly thought why not expand this group to include the entire elementary school class, and started planning to find each other again.
According to Mr. Bac, the liaison committee, including the class president and vice president, proactively contacted the members of the class. After that, everyone continued to search for the whereabouts, information, phone numbers, social networks, etc. of their friends. "Every time we felt sad when we were able to talk to the "new members", because it had been so long since we had the opportunity to connect with each other," Bac continued.

A few years later, class 5A made an appointment to have a reunion, but it didn’t happen. January 31st this year marks the 15th anniversary of class 5A graduating. This is a very special event, the members want to fulfill their promise to meet after many years of delay, and at the same time have the opportunity to meet some friends they have just reconnected with.
Bac shared that the interesting thing about this reunion was that it reached 52% of the old class. All 23 members spoke up in the group. Those who could not attend were all living and working abroad, had small children, or were busy with family matters... They expressed their regret and promised to go next year. The most special thing was that no one felt strange or awkward about having a primary school reunion.
At the reunion, many people were surprised because their friends had changed so much after many years of not seeing each other. However, Bac said that most people still kept the familiar faces from their childhood, so they easily recognized each other.
They also returned to their old school to visit their old classrooms, lining up in the order of their 2010 graduation photo to illustrate after 15 years.

When taking a souvenir photo at the elementary school gate, Bac was moved when remembering his childhood when he and his friends played many fun games together such as climbing mountains, stealing fruits, bathing in streams... Thanks to that, the whole class was very close to each other.
Bac said he hopes everyone will see that even though a long time has passed, when we are proactive and connect, wanting to meet again to reminisce about childhood memories, we will truly meet again.
Bac used to think that no one would think about elementary school anymore. Most people only had reunions from high school or college.
"After 15 years, everyone is still the same as the first day, calling each other "you" and "I" like when we were kids and reminiscing about old memories. It will be a memory that I will never forget for the rest of my life. We have decided to make this class reunion an annual event," Bac said.
In this event, the homeroom teacher Nong Thi Nam (58 years old, retired) could not participate. The teacher expressed regret and made an appointment to meet her students again next year.
"When I looked at the pictures, I felt happy because the children had grown up and matured. The students also promised that the next meeting would have a special activity, which was to come to her house to celebrate Tet," she said.
