VRG signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with BIDV

The signing marks an important step forward in the cooperative relationship between the two units, with the expectation of strengthening connections, maximizing the potential of each side, for the goal of mutual prosperity. On the afternoon of November 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, leaders of VRG and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement for the period 2024-2029.

Attending the ceremony, on the Group's side, there were Mr. Tran Cong Kha - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VRG; VRG's Board of Directors. On the BIDV side, there was Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank. According to the cooperation agreement, BIDV will provide comprehensive financial solutions and modern banking services, meeting the diverse and specific needs of VRG. At the same time, BIDV also arranges resources to support the promotion of the Group's investment and business development plans. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Cong Kha - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VRG emphasized that the companionship and support of BIDV in the past time has created many conditions for the Group to develop. VRG leaders commented that the signing of a comprehensive cooperation agreement between the two sides will open up many new development opportunities in financial services, banking, etc.

In particular, this combination is expected to strengthen the practical and friendly cooperation relationship, develop together, promote strengths, cooperate effectively, and promote the completion of each party's production and business tasks. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of VRG believes that the cooperation between BIDV and the Group will contribute to the country's economic development in the new period, contributing to improving competitiveness in the region and internationally. Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIDV said that in addition to holding a key position, contributing to economic development, stabilizing national defense and security, the rubber industry plays an important role in the industrial supply chain, helping to promote the country's industrialization.

BIDV leaders emphasized that in the trend of sustainable development, along with the Group's orientation to promote high-tech agriculture and industrial park real estate investment, BIDV is ready to accompany VRG through green financial services, green banking and financial consulting, helping VRG achieve strategic goals, contributing to the common prosperity of the socio-economy.

BIDV is one of four state-owned commercial banks, established in 1957. By the end of September 2024, the total consolidated assets of this bank reached over 2.5 million billion VND (equivalent to 101 billion USD), holding the position of the bank with the largest total assets in the market. VRG is the largest agricultural economic group in Vietnam, playing a pioneering, core role and being the center of strategic planning for the development of the Vietnamese rubber industry.
