The match between Nguyen Van Hai and Abdul Motalib took place on the evening of July 15 in the Lightweight (61kg) category. Motalib - a Bangladeshi boxer nicknamed "the silent assassin" with a series of 5 consecutive wins (two knockouts). Meanwhile, 14-time national champion Nguyen Van Hai also has 5 professional victories after 6 times in the ring.

During the pre-match weigh-in, Abdul Motalib "teased" Van Hai by standing in front of him, preventing the Vietnamese representative from appearing in the photo frame. Van Hai remained calm, did not fall into his opponent's trap, and focused on the match scheduled to last eight rounds, each round lasting three minutes.

When the match had just entered the 12th second, Nguyen Van Hai threw a heavy right hook that knocked Abdul Motalib to the ground. The referee immediately declared a stoppage and a knockout victory for the Vietnamese boxer. This spectacular result helped Van Hai have his third knockout victory after six victories in the professional arena.

In another match, Sam Minh Phat encountered many difficulties and lost by technical knockout to China's number one boxer DianXing Zhu in the minimumweight (48kg) category. Right at the beginning of the round, the two fighters immediately increased the pace, went toe-to-toe and continuously exchanged blows. Zhu launched a series of very heavy hooks with both hands, causing Minh Phat a lot of trouble. At the beginning of the second round, Minh Phat dodged the blows and then launched a very beautiful combo. But after a moment of surprise, Zhu regained his composure, proactively closing the angle and launching high-speed and powerful blows, making it difficult for Minh Phat to defend.

In the following rounds, Zhu continued to push and put great pressure. Despite being stubborn and taking advantage of opportunities to fight back, Minh Phat still took many hits from his opponent and could not create a surprise. After taking many hits, Minh Phat collapsed in the ninth round. Zhu was declared the winner by technical knockout, thereby winning a spot in the WBO global title fight.

In another match, 17-year-old Vietnamese-Korean fighter Lee Juyeong defeated 36-year-old experienced Indonesian opponent Dedy Imprax. Imprax took the initiative to attack in the first round, while Lee focused on defense, waiting for the opportunity to counterattack. At the end of the first round, Lee scored with quality punch combos, but Imprax quickly responded with very heavy left punches.

The turning point came in the middle of the third round, when Lee dodged the punches very well and pushed Imprax into the corner. The 17-year-old boxer unleashed a barrage of punches, causing his opponent to suffer serious facial injuries and require medical attention. However, the Indonesian boxer still showed his toughness when he lasted the entire third round.

However, during the break, Imprax's coaching staff determined that the 36-year-old was no longer fit to compete. Lee was thus awarded a technical knockout victory. This was Lee's first career victory after three fights.
