VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong announces medals

The image of a ship sailing out to sea and bringing goods to port is the main inspiration for the design team to create the VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong medal.

VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong takes place on December 17, the last tournament of the VM system in 2023. If the medals in Hue and Hanoi are tinged with time, with a quiet bronze color, the design of the first season of VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong is a combination of youthfulness and modernity.

The medal measures 76x100 mm, silver-plated - symbolizing an industrial city. The bows of ships cutting through the waves with rudders, anchors, and bringing goods to port are the main inspiration for the design team to draw the overall shape. The medal border is modeled from ropes, embossed in 3D. This is the rope that anchors the ship when it arrives at port.

Talking about these details, the organizers shared that the image of the ship and the rope is similar to the VnExpress Marathon system. Over the past year, VM has brought runners to conquer roads across the country and "docked" in Hai Phong - the final destination in 2023.

Hai Phong Opera House - a building over a hundred years old is embossed in the middle. This is considered a historical witness, witnessing the ups and downs and changes of the city. Behind the theater, Hoang Van Thu bridge - the new symbol of Hai Phong is clearly depicted. Seagulls spread their wings and fly in the blue sky, expressing the desire to rise up.

According to the design team, the blue color on the medal background is also unique. The transparent effect, which allows you to see through the background, creates a sparkling feeling like the sea surface catching the sun. "With each product, each design for runners, we always put all our efforts. This is like a gift, a thank you to all the athletes who have accompanied VnExpress Marathon", said the representative of the Organizing Committee.

On the back, the royal poinciana flower - the symbolic flower of the port city - is placed by the design team above the words "Finisher - Congratulations". This is a wish, an honor for the persistent feet conquering the roads of the port city.

When completing the distance according to the regulations, athletes will receive medals according to each color of the ribbon. 5km distance has a red-orange ribbon, athletes completing 10km distance will receive a purple ribbon medal. Turquoise ribbon is for 21km athletes. 42km warriors will receive a bronze ribbon medal.

VnExpress Marathon Hai Phong takes place on December 17, expected to attract 9,000 participants. This is the final tournament of 2023 of the VnEXpress Marathon system.
