On April 10, in Hanoi, the Insurance Association of Vietnam (IAV) held the 2023 Insurance Journalism Award ceremony and launched the 2024 Insurance Journalism Award. This is an annual award in the insurance sector for reporters, professional journalists and amateur journalists whose press works are published and broadcast on mass media. 2023 marks the 5th year of this award.
23 outstanding works selected from 875 press works published and broadcast from January to December 2023 were selected by the Jury to enter the final round for awarding.
Among the 23 finalists, the Organizing Committee awarded a Special Prize to a series of 3 articles: "Life insurance: Installing "handrails for stairs" is not just for decoration" by author Hanh Nguyen (VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency).
Along with the Special Prize, the award structure also includes 3 A prizes, 4 B prizes, 5 C prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes awarded to authors from central and local press agencies.
According to journalist Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the press works bring readers in-depth, comprehensive, multi-dimensional perspectives on distribution channels with cooperation between insurance companies and banks. At the same time, they propose practical solutions to overcome difficulties, creating favorable conditions for the life insurance market to develop safely, sustainably and effectively.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee also launched the 2024 Insurance Journalism Award. The award accepts works published from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
According to the Organizing Committee, the 2024 Insurance Journalism Award was launched to promote and encourage journalistic works with good content quality and attractive presentation, creating a widespread influence in society, contributing positively to the development of the insurance industry in particular and the Vietnamese economy in general.
Regarding the award rules, the authors are Vietnamese citizens including members of the Vietnam Journalists Association, reporters, professional journalists and non-professional journalists whose press works on the insurance field are published and broadcast on mass media licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications, including online newspapers, radio and television.
Authors participating in the Award do not violate the Regulations on professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists, the Press Law and other laws.
Works in Vietnamese or English published or broadcast from January 1, 2024 that have won awards in local, industry or central competitions are still eligible to participate in the award.
