To overcome the disruption of telecommunications waves, Viettel Quang Ninh has made efforts to speed up the progress, increase the workforce to handle and repair, and successfully fix 1,290/1,300 BTS stations across the province. Thereby, basically restoring telecommunications activities, serving socio-economic development and ensuring signal quality for customers in the province.
According to information from Viettel Quang Ninh, due to the impact of storm No. 3, Viettel Quang Ninh's telecommunications network suffered serious damage, affecting about 1,300 BTS stations across the province, causing telecommunications disruptions in many remote areas; network quality in districts, towns and cities was reduced. Quickly restoring the problem, more than 2 weeks after storm No. 3 until now, Viettel Quang Ninh has increased its forces, urgently completing troubleshooting at 1,290 stations across the province. Currently, there are only 10 stations left due to collapsed poles, which are being rebuilt.
In particular, Viettel Quang Ninh has overcome and prioritized coverage in remote areas, island borders, production and economic sectors... of the province. The unit has prioritized coverage in all industrial zones in the province. Regarding the coal industry, Viettel has restored services and supported 100% broadcasting for large coal companies under TKV right after the storm such as: Than Vang Danh, Nam Mau, Ha Lam, Ha Tu..., ensuring waves for production mines and operating activities of the companies.
Viettel also ensures signal for tourist areas such as Tuan Chau, Bai Chay, Ha Long; fully broadcasts at Yen Tu relic and scenic area such as Dong pagoda, Hoa Yen pagoda, train stations...
In the island communes of Van Don district, Viettel has broadcast to the island communes: Quan Lan, Minh Chau, Thang Loi, Ban Sen, Ngoc Vung. In addition, to connect signals, right after the storm, Viettel set up 6 shortwave radio transceiver points to maintain communication between the People's Committee of Van Don district and 5 island communes. In Ha Long Bay, Viettel has broadcasted from the station on Hon Phao island to serve tourists visiting Ha Long Bay.
It is known that, to urgently fix the problem and connect telecommunications throughout the province, Viettel Quang Ninh has mobilized maximum forces, increased working shifts, and mobilized the participation and support of all Viettel staff... Thanks to that, up to now, Viettel has basically restored telecommunications waves throughout the province, ensuring communication for customers.
