Vietnam actively speeds up streamlining the apparatus and cutting procedures

Speaking at the World Government Summit, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son said that Vietnam is actively accelerating the process of streamlining the apparatus, cutting and simplifying administrative procedures.


On February 12, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son attended and delivered important keynote speeches at two main sessions of the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025.

The conference took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), with about 6,000 delegates, more than 30 heads of state and government leaders.

The Emerging Economies Session is the main discussion session of the conference, bringing together many senior leaders of countries and more than 250 delegates, focusing on discussing the potential of emerging economies in a dynamic world.

Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son emphasized that the world is witnessing rapid, unprecedented changes, with many challenges but also opening up opportunities for developing countries.

In particular, emerging economies make "leaps forward", catching up, moving forward and surpassing the world's flow, creating development miracles.

Sharing about Vietnam's development viewpoints and policies, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed the Vietnamese Government's strong messages about its determination to strongly innovate thinking, build and perfect synchronous institutions in economics, politics, culture, society and environment.

Vietnam unleashes all potentials and resources, creating new momentum for the country's rapid and sustainable development, realizing the goal of bringing the country to breakthrough development in the new era - the era of striving for development, prosperity, civilization, prosperity and aspirations, and vision of Vietnam to 2030 and 2045.

Regarding strategic priorities, Vietnam is transforming its growth model, restructuring the economy towards digitalization and greening; focusing on promoting three strategic breakthroughs, developing synchronous and modern strategic infrastructure, international financial centers and national innovation centers.

Vietnam identifies the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the most important breakthroughs, the only way to accelerate the country's development, breakthrough and sustainability. Vietnam is actively accelerating the process of streamlining the political system, cutting and simplifying administrative procedures.

The Deputy Prime Minister called on businesses and investors from the UAE, the Middle East and other countries to invest in Vietnam in green transformation, digital transformation, innovation, high technology, AI, semiconductors, renewable energy, development of financial centers, innovation centers, etc.

As the keynote speaker at the session on “Action towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son shared Vietnam’s achievements, experiences and lessons learned over nearly 40 years of Innovation and efforts to implement the SDGs.

Vietnam has made every effort to reach the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) 10 years early, and is continuing to work towards achieving the SDGs.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the epochal changes of the world leave governments with no other choice but a new sustainable and inclusive development mindset, innovation and creativity in governance and management, an action-oriented and breakthrough approach for sustainable development and a new partnership based on international solidarity, promoting fairness, multilateralism and respect for international law.

The messages of Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son received high appreciation from the delegates attending. Leaders of governments, ministries, sectors and businesses of the countries highly appreciated the development potential and strong efforts in transforming the growth model and promoting innovation in Vietnam.

Within the framework of the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son met with Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone; Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake; UAE Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan; UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit; UAE Minister of Economy Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri; Bahrain Minister of Finance and National Economy Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
