The system, mastered by Viettel's team of experts in core technology in pilot training simulation, was transferred and distributed for the first time in Indonesia.

Within the framework of the 2023 Defense & Security Exhibition in Thailand on November 7, Viettel High Tech and PT. Bandara Praniagatama (Indonesia) signed a cooperation agreement to distribute Vietnam's flight crew and cockpit training simulation system in Indonesia for 2 years.

The flight training simulation system is built to ensure technical factors for pilots, especially simulating real bombs and ammunition. In addition, the system also trains pilots to skillfully handle unexpected events that may occur during flight - things that cannot be done in reality due to flight safety concerns. During practice, pilots can connect to the flight command training simulation system. This helps train both air and ground forces including flight commanders and navigators at the same time for a scenario.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Ha, General Director of Viettel High Tech, said that because of mastering the core technology in the country, the system is ready to change and respond to any request from the user as quickly as possible without depending on partners. This helps the air force train continuously, ensures the safety of pilots, and improves the combat readiness of the Indonesian army.

Compared with training on real aircraft systems, this system reduces costs hundreds of times and reduces the number of operators dozens of times.

Up to now, Viettel High Tech engineers have not only successfully researched a simulation model for training the Su-30 aircraft cockpit but also simulated the flight command crew, ensuring the simulation of the entire flight regiment's operations during the exercise. In the world, there are currently only a few countries that have mastered the technology to simulate the Su-30 aircraft but are still limited to cockpit simulation.

The cooperation with Indonesia is considered a big step forward in developing the export market for Vietnam's military's flight simulator products, expected to bring in tens of millions of USD in revenue.

PT. Bandara Praniagatama is a leading pilot training company in Indonesia and has been appointed by the Indonesian military to seek opportunities for cooperation and training of the air force. According to the memorandum of understanding, the company will distribute Viettel High Tech's flight crew and cockpit training simulation system in Indonesia.
