(NLDO) - On the morning of December 2, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan chaired the ceremony to award decisions to officials.
At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Bac Nam announced the decision of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on receiving and appointing Mr. Luong Van Nhien, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.
The term of office is 5 years.

Congratulating Mr. Luong Van Nhien, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan said that Mr. Luong Van Nhien has a long history of working with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the task at the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for Overseas Vietnamese is very important. Therefore, Mr. Luong Van Nhien needs to be proactive and autonomous in his activities, mobilizing external resources in addition to state support.
In the coming time, the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese needs to strongly mobilize resources to carry out tasks at the unit and reorganize the apparatus to be streamlined and perform its tasks well.
Speaking at the ceremony, the new Vice Chairman of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City, Luong Van Nhien, thanked the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City for entrusting him with the task. He promised to learn, practice, understand the tasks at the new unit and make every effort to complete the assigned tasks.
Mr. Luong Van Nhien, 51 years old, from Phu Yen province; Bachelor of Culture, Master of Public Administration, Senior in Political Theory.
